    I really wish, they would do the dunk contest as a team competition.

    Pair the top 3 NBA guys against the top 3 amateur dunkers and put some money on the line.

    Would be super competitive and actually make it interesting to me.

    Journalists had the idea of playing an exhibition mini game during the first round and folks get to in-game dunk.

    Jury panel grade those in game dunks.

    That probably could attract more stars.

    Didn’t they do that one year and it was the worst dunk contest ever?

    just make the 1st round 3 dunks each, 2 best scores count and top 2 advance

    Based on yesterday, McClung and Murphy would still advance.

    Rather than an exhibition game I think it'd be better if they had a 5 min free for all dunking round before moving on to the set piece "show" dunks they do usually. Gives the players a proper chance to warm up first and you'd get a lot more action. Let them throw down a bunch of different dunks, then take the top 3 and give them 3 dunks each for the final round.
