Someone mentioned this before but, could the Woj Rockets leak have come from Harden’s own camp in order to create leverage for him to maneuver himself into a sign and trade into another contender without the cap space to sign him outright? Like him going to Morey and saying “Sign and trade me to Phoenix/LAC/etc. or risk losing me for nothing to Houston”
Alperen Sengun is already at Harens level, so I wouldnt bring Haren here to take the ball away from Sengun. I watched him vs rockets few days back and he was very disciplined, I liked the performance, but not sure if hed play that way for Rockets. Because we know in this cancerous culture even the lesser egos go wild, and we know what Harden did last time he was here (and this is his contract year!). This brings me back to Sengun at PG and why he is a walking mismatch because of his size. This is something Harden cant do.
Sengun is not close to hardens level as a playmaker stop. He can make a few low post passes but there is noway he can run an offense like harden. Just stop with these posts. Anyone with half basketball knowledge knows there is a considerable difference between a few good low post passes and running an entire offense.
You either took too much LSD and turned into perma-troll or you are just dumb. Stop spamming! I can get behind the concept of Sengun being our best player but better than Harden?
Guys he is definitely not coming to Houston, remember he said he was leaving because this team had no talent? That team he left was way more talent than now….come on guys!
this team already has more talent than the one he left… he was playing with the mummified corpses of John Wall and Boogie plus scrubs like Tate, Nwaba, House, and Sterling Brown…the Rockets had zero assets at the time too this team has more talent, is getting another top pick, and has assets to trade to get better
so 17% x the chance harden will leave Philly for Wemby. Let’s call that 30% to be generous. We’re looking at a 5% chance this will happen. Clearly something we should bank on.
Harden is by far the best FA available if he opts out, even at his age. And he did say he wasn't done in Houston. As a fan, I'm tired of losing. If we luck into Wemby... PG: Harden (32), TyTy (12), Tate (4) SG: Green (28), KPJ (20) SF/PF: Wemby (28), Tari (24), Bari (20), KMJ (20), Tate (4) C: Sengun (34), Garuba (12), Boban (2) Harden and Sengun passing to each other could be a thing of beauty. Wemby and Bari and Tari and KPJ should focus on 3 and D and rebounding. Green and KPJ should mostly play off ball. With Sengun's expected further improvement and if Green and Jabari improve and Wemby is half as good as advertised...this should be a contender. Would be loaded. Could maybe still trade KPJ or someone for some more veteran help. I think we would still have cap room for another veteran besides Harden as well.
