    6'7 point guard

Moves porter Jr away from green

Think he can make others better around him...a guy who isnt looking to come out and be a chucker

jumper is slow and he gets like zero elevation on it

this rebuild is really screwed if we don’t get a top 2 pick

The issue with Black is where he’ll go in the draft. He’d be a reach in the top 5, but I doubt he falls to our second pick.

No thanks. Not a fan. Definitely don’t want this guy from what I’ve seen at Arkansas

I feel sorry for the team that takes him early. Won’t be worth it at all. I’ll be surprised if he sticks in league for long

Hell no!! Assuming we pick in the top 5, Anthony Black is not worth it. If it’s not Wemby, Scoot, or Brandon miller…. Yikes!!

Can he shoot? We have too many athletes that can't fricken shoot.

It really depends on where we pick and if he can develop a jumper. He's projected anywhere from 6-14 right now. I think he would work well with Sengun and Green as he is a taller guard, can defend, and unselfish. The primary issue is shooting and it's always a risk drafting a guard that can't shoot.

With that said, Anthony Black is one of my favorite players in the draft if he can develop a jumper and his game to me is similar to Josh Giddey, who is vastly underrated.

I think Brandon Miller is the early favorite for #3 pick, so if we have #4 or lower, we may have some hard decisions. I wouldn't count out Black as a trade down candidate (or trade up from Clippers pick).

Haha, I’m definitely not a draft expert (thanks though). I’m just a random guy looking at biases and loves statistical analysis. Posted my thoughts right above your comment

What discouraged me when reading his scouting report was the analysis on his ability to penetrate and create space on drives.

Rockets still need to be going for upside on these picks. If Lonzo Ball is his upside, while a great and useful player mold, seems like pretty limited upside for such a high pick.

I think Black could be an amazing fit as a point forward here. He and Sengun could run the offense around Green ISOs and the occasional KPJ p'n'r. Smith and KOJ provide spacing.

We cannot be selecting a "sleeper" with a pick that will be in the top 4 of the draft. We need to be drafting elite talent -- and Stone needs to improve his process of identifying this type of talent.

I like his height for PG and passing, rebounding is solid. The issue is his lack of first step and explosiveness as well as his slow release. On defense, he is decent and can alter shots but college-level point guards are getting past him and he's defending from behind in those clips, need more film to be sure.

Not a super productive player either at his current level against college defenders.

I can see how he can be a good player or just another guy, perhaps a mid or late-round pick, but this draft may not be deep in star potential so he gets bumped up. I can't say for sure as I'll start evaluating prospects once we secure the draft pick position.

Damn-near everyone outside of the top to top-3 picks in this draft is possibly a sleeper pick right now.
