You can see Tari was nervous but Jabari is a bust and Sengun did not care if he was there or not. Sengun and Jalen are the top young ⭐️ stars for our team and hoping for Scoot or Wemby.
We talkin bout the rising stars event. Not the games. We talkin bout the rising stars event. Think about that.
1-5 Scoot Henderson. I guess that means we trade number 2 pick if we get it. Scoot confirmed a future bust.
He is 2 years away from being a starting quality NBA PG.......he may not bust but it means a longer wait. DD
And that's fine. As long as these players grow together with solid vet presence which is obviously missing now.
It isn't fine if we are constantly trying to find a guy, we need to start trading for better players or drafting better, we can't keep drafting 19 year old maybe players. DD
Green obviously has the most "all-star" friendly game due to his acrobatics but as you can see here there is like zero defense played in these games Ball handling guards are usually the ones who do well here as it's a pick up game.
Big men like senguin who are not 3 point snipers always suck in these exhibition "games" for the most part the ball handlers are not giving up the ball to the non flash big man
When the Houston players do well its fluke or a meaningless game. If they don't do well then its a huge deal that they sucked like it mayters
We aren't trying to find A guy. We are trying find a team. We don't have to find a Lebron or Luka to win a ring. A hypothetical core of Sengun, Green and Scoot living up to expectations is a good team, possibly contending team in 3-5 years obviously with a new coach
Champion caliber talent doesn't come along too often. LeBron Curry Giannis Kawhi Look at the last decade those are the leaders of their teams. 2022 - Warriors (Curry) 2021 - Milwaukee (Giannis) 2020 - Lakers (LeBron) 2019 - Raptors (Kawhi) 2018 - Warriors (Curry) 2017 - Warriors (Curry) 2016 - Cavaliers (LeBron) 2015 - Warriors (Curry) 2014 - Spurs (Kawhi) 2013 - Heat (LeBron) 2012 - Heat (LeBron) Granted those teams had other top notch talent on them but there was still one guy who drove them above and beyond the competition. Green, Smith, Sengun, Eason are talents but none are appearing to have a trajectory on the level of any of those 4 guys or to be building toward a team with the same level of depth and skill as those Championship caliber teams. It's still early but it's not looking good.
Tari Eason, F, Houston Rockets Grade: B- The semifinals were an adventure for Eason, who overdribbled his way into a turnover shortly after checking in and nearly banked in what was supposed to be a lob attempt in transition. Eason contributed at the defensive end, guarding Scoot Henderson, and managed to convert a layup after the dunk he was loading up for was contested. Still, coach Noah apparently didn't trust Eason enough to play in the finals. Jabari Smith Jr., Houston Rockets Grade: C- Smith was 2-of-9 from the field, including missing all four of his 3-point attempts across the two games, and his night was marked by a series of almosts. He couldn't finish a shot at the rim. He blocked Mathurin but was called for a foul, and he was unable to save a loose ball despite good hustle. Alperen Sengun, Houston Rockets Grade: C It was a forgettable game for Sengun, who wasn't able to bust out any of the highlight-reel fakes and passes we often see during Rockets games. Sengun missed both of his shot attempts, including a 3. https://www.espn.com/nba/insider/st...chero-jose-alvarado-every-player-rising-stars
