I hope we target Bridges with our net's picks hopefully to join a roster with either wemby or Scoot on it (and harden). But i would add this year's pick in a deal for Bridges if we fail to get either of the top 2 picks this year. He would bring the sort of mentality that we need going forward.

    What @ipaman said.

The Law Firm of Sampson and Walker: Make the Rockets great again!

    I’m afraid they did. :D

If the Rockets draft Jarace Walker, then the Rockets were VERY unlucky in the lottery and/or Walker exploded in the tournament.

I'm not sure he can play the 3 in the NBA or be a super mobile 4.

I think Walker is a fine player. I probably have him 5-6 on my board. BUT I think I want to trade for vets if we are at 4-5 and Miller isnt available.

I’ve been wondering lately if we could give up the fifth pick to just clear all of our obligations to OKC and if that would be worth it?

    Tend to agree with you.

Brandon Miller likely will be a long time starter and possibly an all star - so at 3 he isn't bad.

Amen Thompson has a LOT of talent but he also could be a bust.

At this point really praying on that 30% chance they get Wemby or Scoot.

he sure will. he's not your prototypical 3 like a pg13 but as a stretch big with strength who's athletic enough to switch 1-5 is a luxury

Part of me wouldn't want him playing for Tilman though.

Yeah, he Walker isn't as offensively gifted as Randall, but he is a better defender.

Having said that, Randall isn't really a big difference maker.

The Rockets need a difference maker because they sure as hell aren't going to develop one with idiot #1 (Stone) and idiot #2 (Silas) running the show.

I'm burnt out on draft prospects. There's too much damn unpredictability. I just want a new coach a couple solid but young vets and get on with watching a team that's trying to win. This losing **** is tiresome.

If we land 3 or later I'd be looking to start flipping assets, including that #3. If we don't land either Scoot or Wemby I'm going to have a mini meltdown.

Bridges I think won't be traded.

He is indeed a Kawhi Paul George Light.

Teams would be foolish to trade him until he blows up.

Some of y’all have bought the hype that Scoot and Wemby are the only potential stars in the draft, there’s a very real chance a guy drafted 3-5 will be the best player taken

Can you even imagine these guys being able to handle a Sampson practice? I'm not sure they could take it. Sampson's not going to accept the bullshit effort they give on defense.

Yeah. I mean... What I meant to say is we need ANOTHER franchise level talent to pair with Josh Christopher. Yeah. That's what I meant to say.

Yup. I can understand the Wemby outlook and hype. But as far as scoot, most people are just brainwashed because his hype is pushed by the media/outsiders more than folks in college. If he was in college he would be on par with guys going top 5-10 as far as potential prospects.

For the rockets specifically, he just fills a position in desperate need so the hype gets magnified. But yes it’s entirely possible guys like Miller or Jarace have better careers than scoot. We know the draft is never known to go in the correct order when it actually happens and “consensus” opinions

I really think we either land #1, #2 or flood whatever team has those picks with assets to get them. I'd trade the kitchen sink for either one.

I like Walker though, he's a truck and looks to have a lot to offer on both sides of the court. Wouldn't be mad if he ended up in Houston (except to know this year was absolutely wasted.)

I’m just not understanding the mindset that if we don’t get Wemby or Scoot the year was wasted. That’s underselling the caliber of player we will get at 3 or 4. Wemby could be injury prone and Scoot could be overhyped for all we know.
