GM because he gutted the Texans roster and left them with an incredibly bare cubbard. Silas sucks, but there’s just so much damage he can do as a head coach.
While not high on Abdelfattah, he is not Silas so therefore he will do better. Give him a shot. He did look good during the game Lucas coached when he drew up the winning play.
I still don't think it's right to fire Silas during a tank year. The roster got worse after the trade deadline. I place the majority of the blame on Stone, but development (tanking) was the plan for this year, so it's too early to fire anyone during this stage of the rebuild. I'd still like to see what Silas can do with an improved roster next year, and that would be his final chance.
Fire Silas and hire us as a collective to coach the Rockets. Imagine blasting the players with real-time memes.
Rockets suck because of Mr. Fertitta. He does not spend money on good players and coach. This whole mess is his fault. I hope all fans point fingers at him sitting courtside at Toyota Center.
The Rockets have become an 'indecisive' franchise. Look at the punishments for Wood and KPJ for either sulking or walking out during a game, throwing tantrums. Nobody in this franchise has the urgency to do something fast or severe. Silas probably gets a participation medal when he finally gets released.
So no more "In Stone we trust"? More like Stone is a bust. I don't think Silas will be fired. At this point I would be less surprised if he got signed to an extension before the news that says he is fired. If he does somehow miraculously get fired I will gladly eat a dump truck full of crow and love every minute of it.
As long as we could have a better record than the worst in NBA history then at least we could outperform Silas and his staff.
Sadly, this is likely correct. On a positive note, Silas has improved on the smiling side of things as he is no longer smiling cheek to cheek after 30+ point losses. At OKC the other night it was just a regular smile…..you gotta take baby steps before you can walk!!!
I agree with that approach, but I’m also curious which coaching hire you think could help lure free agents.
Tatum and Brown Thrive Under New Coaching Style Brown said that Udoka’s patient, yet direct approach helped him earn the trust of the team, as he treated everybody the same. “Ime got us on the same page because there were no tiers,” Brown told The Ringer. “He addressed us all on the same level.”
I'm not sure who should be the next coach .... BUT he should definetly have crazy eYeS!! Crazy eYeS are instrumental in getting 110% out of your players!! (P.S.) Also, free agents are attracted to crazy eYeS!! Go Rockets!!! ....... ....... .......
The more I learn about him the more I think that Quin Snyder is exactly what this team needs. Fertitta should be directing Stone to get him at almost any cost. https://www.slcdunk.com/the-downbeat-latest-jazz-news/2022/6/7/23156792/thank-you-coach-quin-snyder https://www.ksl.com/article/5010615...w-quin-snyder-crafted-utahs-explosive-offense (I apologize in advance for articles sourced from sites friendly to the Utah Jazz polluting the BBS)
Agree 100%….plus the added bonus of us rubbing it in to the Jazz fans when we become good under a new coach and system.
