Fighting Big Tech is great. They are relentless monsters sucking everything up in pursuit of packaged data to sell or barter.

the ONLY person fighting big tech is JOE BIDEN. He just filed a suit to break up Google and is suing meta from expanding in VR. Amazing how Republicans are so effin brainwashed at their scam voters. What the fk has DeSantis done in reality to break up or fight agaisnt big tech?

He hasn't done **** and his major donors are all big tech. It's just amazing how stupid the right is and how brainwashed they are by performative bs.

Trumps FTC pick just quit the ftc and is joining amazon as a lobbyist. I'm sure Republicans will be tough on big tech any day now LOL

@AroundTheWorld is the only intelligent person who knows about the economy LOL. It's funny how folks on the right don't even realize BIDEN is doing what they dream of

Please explain to us how a Florida governor can break up Google.

Hopefully your "MS from Bauer" helps.

    Thanks in advance.

....You're really this clueless aren't you. Then you have the audacity to say I don't know about the economy lol! When the government files a suit against corporations any state has the right to join the suit and argue on behalf of the government. Democratic attorney generals JOINED the trump suit.

Did Florida join the suit to break up Google? Of course not. Did they join the suit agaisnt meta or Amazon? OBVIOUSLY NOT! But he uSeS tHe wOrD wOKe!!!!

Why actually do real enforcement when you can use buzzwords like woke and have your brainwashed supporters worship you cuz they think you're fighting big tech.

How many suits have Florida filed agaisnt big tech in general? Blows my mind how folks on the right are so utterly clueless.

Do some research on DeSantis. He has huge lobbying ties to Amazon Nd big tech. He's not going do a damn thing agaisnt big tech and his followers will worship him on his use of buzz words like woke. It's such a utter joke how performative the entire right is.

Can like he not like tech companies for other reasons because they said trans people are cool?

Like can he actually not like them and fight them for their vertical and horizontal growth and monopoly practices?

I'd rather a politician be ambivalent towards tech companies than pretending they care about corporate overreach only when they support lgbtq people and black history.

You surely aren't this dumb in thinking there is an ounce of sincerity in someone like DeSantis fighting "corporations". The dude is a GOP poltician. His agenda is purely to maximize return on investment from his backers and doners who are all mostly board members and shareholders of large corporations.

But why would he do that? Why would he actually go after big tech when he can pretend to go after them and his moronic followers believe him anyways? If you're DeSantis you're going use buzz words to hype up your base while accepting millions of dollars in lobbying money which exactly what's he's doing.

It's all a huge sham for these right wingers. The sad part is their base is too effin stupid to see through any of it. Both of trumps FTC pick have quit in the past year to join lobbying jobs with big tech

None of these jokers are going do a damn thing about big tech. There's zero incentive because they know the base is effin stupid

@AroundTheWorld FOURTY SIX states joined the trump big tech suit. Guess how many republican states joined biden to break up Google?

    But but they're wOkE!

DeSantis’ Digital Bill of rights sounds like a good idea but like most things will wait to see more details. Also several Democrats have proposed similar things. Perhaps this might be a chance for some bipartisanship on the issue?

This type of stuff is what he does all the time. You can do this garbage in state press conferences but you can't do this at a national level. He NEVER takes the heat. I can show how he's done this a million times before in a press conference.

Trump is going to DESTROY him on stage and ruin his career. If DeSantis had a brain he would he wait until 2028 and win against Kamala. The issue is he has too much donor money behind him.

Trump will end his career as I've been saying for months.

    Filipkowski is lying on purpose.

    He did answer the question.

That said, he doesn't come across as likeable at all.

It's a few very high-level statements without details. Just with the high level provided, some of them are ok, some are good, some are bad, and some are fluff. I'll get into detail if interested and if I have time to do so.

As for bipartisanship - no chance. FL is GOP-majority led so there is no need for bipartisanship. At the federal level, there is absolutely room for it and more importantly, there is bipartisan political support for protecting Children from harm of social media (this FL proposal doesn't do that although it claims to do so).

With a lot of things they are dismissed out of hand because of who is proposing them. I’m certainly skeptical of DeSantis’ reason for this but if it’s something that does have support from across the ideological spectrum I think should at least look at it before condemning it.

I agree DeSantis doesn’t tend FL Dems but social media obviously isn’t confined to FL. Any real change will need at least a national level law.

What was his answer again….? He kinda talked around the question and tossed in the usual generic talking points.

What don't you understand? Facts too difficult to understand? When the federal government files a suit against any corporations individual states have the right to join the brief. Any entity or group can make a argument in favor of the government.

When the DOJ filed to break up Google DeSantis didn't join the suit in favor of breaking up Google. Nor did he join the suit agaisnt amazon or meta. When it comes to actual law enforcement and going after them in real ways he doesn't do ****. And has never done ****. When he was in congress he lobbied and was AGAINST big tech regulation.

Look at his donations and he's in the pockets of big tech. Typical republican scumbag who fights on behalf of corporations while peddling culture war garbage.

What has DeSantis ever done to actually take on big tech?

NORRAD shot it over canada at the request of the Canadian PM. Biden doesn't control Norrad.

    Are you this uneducated?
