Its time to discuss trading Jalen Green while he's still worth a damn

Hey, Jalen Green is the highest scoring guard age 21-21.3 taken in the first 10 picks in the nba draft when at home while in his second nba season.

He is untouchable you guys and may yet get MVP this year...

 

Because young players being able to get to the line a lot bodes well for them in the future?

Is anyone saying he's a efficient scorer now? Stop beating up invisible strawman. Swinging at air is embarrassing. Debate the arguments presented in front of to. Stop playing a dumbass or stop being one.

Ok, i thought the explanation wouldn't be hard. You're refusing to compare him to 90% of his peers. That is admitting he looks bad compared to them.

Maybe he gets better but it's far from a guarantee..

I compared him to players of his age group because they are at similar stages of development.

But if you want to compare Green to the current star group of sgs who average like 6+ years in the NBA amongst this group by all means I'll give you that handicap for your argument. Even then Green has a higher ftr than Lavine, Booker, Ant, Mitchel and Beal this season. All of them. And those are your cream of the crop scoring guards today and he's younger than all of them by a wide margin besides Ant.

PLUS, jalen greens career FTr(FTs in relation to how many shots he takes) is .289, alperen senguns is significantly better, an elite FTr of .417!

It's all subjective. You pick peer to mean age, or position, or number of years in the league, or draft position.

He's a well below average player right now. You acknowledge it by ignoring over half his game and focus on his least stinky atributes and then have to narrow things down further.

He is young. He may get better. He hasn't fulfilled squat and may never.

Until he shows steady improvement there's no reason to think he will get better.

But that doesn't matter to you because the excuses will continue about how he's double teamed, or he draws best defenders, or he decides to take harder shots for the challenge, or his teammates don't space enough, or fouls aren't getting called, or he needs more time, blah blah blah...

His 2pt shot is down. His 3pt shot is down. His free throws % is down. His efg% is down. His ts% is down.

He has improved in some ways but he's still too thin, he still makes dumb decisions, and he still lacks consistency.

I think some bench time could do some good on a second unit where he can run the break more... he can get more looks against weaker defenders.

You lack the maturity to accept criticism of someone else, that's a bad sign for you.
