On a serious reply, the team needs to run through Sengun. Cut KPJ and we'll be fine

Who the “franchise guy” is one thing, but “head honcho” is the tier above all.

We have a franchise player in Sengun. He's a Jokic clone. We'll wait on defense because he's not quite there yet. If you watch how we run the offense through him without brain dead KPJ it's night and day. Such an intelligent basketball player. He'll make Jalen better too. Growing pains but we have our superstar. Shame people don't see it.

No it isn't. Sengun is who we should be building around. Lin wasn't a good player

Cut KPJ if he's not willing to be a 6th man. I'd like a Joe Harris and operate Sengun from the high post. We lost an entire season with Jalen. I don't even know what to do with Garumba

I guess Jalen is more frustrating than KPJ and Nix only because we all know he has so much more potential.

Which means the offense is broken. Why is the guy who is far less efficient and drawing more defensive attention taking 35% more shots?

Because he's a guard. Watch a game and see how many more steps it takes for a guard to take a shot and a big. It's always going to be easier for guards to get up more shots

Just because it’s easier doesn’t mean it should happen. When you have a player that’s as hands-down more effective as Sengun is, you get him more shots. This is where coaching has got to come in. They need to be drilling this home.

Some of it is on Sengun. Garuba and KMJ shoot better percentages, but that’s because they are getting the ball at the rim. When it touches their hands, it’s not expected to come back out. Sengun is a great passer, and it’s fun to watch, but he’s passing off too much to guys who are worse shooters than him. He needs to be taking more shots.

    I agree.
Sengun is a team player but he needs to b more aggressive. Part of me thinks he doesn't want to get yank for taking the most shots. U can also say he gets tuckered out guarding the opposing center. Either way he should b shooting more when his guards or teammates aren't hitting theirs.

Why is there a need to talk about whether it's senguin or green? What will picking one over the other accomplish? It's a team sport, you want and need multiple stars so why can't it be both?

I don't think senguins effectiveness is in him talking the most shots. Frankly, if green and kpj were removed from the team and senguin was the primary then he would not be as effective as a volume shooter. It is too easy to limit big man's shots and attempts now days with the doubles and zone schemes.
Even joker, the potential 3 time mvp takes less shots than their lead guard and about 3 more shots than their 3 highest shot taker. That's with him being a 2 time mvp who also shoots about 40 percent from 3s.

Senguins effectiveness is going to be playing with another star so teams don't focus on him exclusively and have him run the offense in instances that there is not a set play (pick and roll or back cuts etc) for another player.

Of course they are not finished products. I never said they were.

Can you say for certain they are the next Luka or LeBron? Of course you can't.

    I just answered the question.

Are you trying to say that the only option is for one of these two to become our next franchise player?

Is it not possible for you to imagine a world where someone who is not Jalen or Sengun becomes our franchise player?

    LOL
