Blake and Eric were coming into the league blazing there 2nd year . That clipper team had B.Davis leading it. Yet totally different team when CP came in and Davis and Gordon left. Start that Griffin and Jordan team lead by CP.
Arguably Eric was still a top 20 SG while winning 6MOY. That three hand punch of Harden, CP and Gordon vs Klay and Steph was so beautiful to watch. Different world back then too. Thanks Tilman.
EG is a valuable player on a good team . No surprise, semi-sucked under Silas. Best wishes to him, he served well as a Rocket and didn't force his way out like Harden.
Did anyone catch what the TNT game commentators were saying about EG wanting to leave Houston going back to 2021? confirmed he asked for a trade all the way back then. How can we say we are a franchise that does right by its players, and yet when a professional like EG quietly says he wants out, we just hold him hostage? So u have to go public and sit out to get your way like James or Russ, but if you are professional we are going to exploit that? the way Stone handled the EG situation is straight up embarrassing.
Per Chris Haynes, Eric Gordon went up to management and asked to be dealt to a winning situation about a year ago. Said the Rockets ultimately honored their word. (lol way after) I mean common sense told a lot of folks EG had no business being here and that he didn't want to be part of a rebuild.
