I think you can and you should make your point without referencing somebody's tragic death. After the earthquake, all the people I know are surrounded by tragic deaths and it is really not the best to see this in a basketball forum. I am not anyone to tell you what to do but I just offer my side of it.
Ok thats your right as a fan, but trying to make absolute statements one way or the other when the obvious meeting ground is halfway is where this fanbase should be instead of a bunch of extremists.
The simple fact is that if defenders think he might shoot, and respect his shot, it will make his dribble drive game more effective. Being better at more things is good.
What a conundrum! On the one hand there are guys who say he needs MORE usage and when the opinion is offered that he should shoot MORE it turns into another Silas bashing session. Should Sengun be coming up the floor and jacking contested shots early in the clock? Nope. Should he shoot the wide open 3's regardless of what Silas thinks or says? Yup! One mopy ass post game session does not a philosophy make. If everyone else is chucking on the team - Sengun should too. Silas lost the team long ago anyway - its time for these guys to take their own development into their own hands and Im not buying this "Sengun is choir boy who follows instructions" bit only because its just too convenient for the SOFs to keep blaming anyone but the player.

I mean, let's face it, they need a LOT of excuses to explain away how this generational franchise player scores less than 15 points in 53% of his games (including a big fat ZERO in one game) whilst continuing to bash a player who scores more than 15 points in 80% of his games who's apparently a total bust...

Well Sengun apparently is the BEST player from the last 2 drafts so that type of fan ego will never allow for reality to rule. Rarely do you hear these guys just admit that Sengun can have bad games too - there is ALWAYS an excuse as to why. Its off putting beyond repair.

Why doesn't Sengun simply score more than 15 points in more than half of his games? Shouldn't be too hard considering numerous rookies and sophomores over the last 2 years are doing it quite easily.
I know! I know! "Sengun didnt get enough playing time" (even though with all the extra playing time and passing responsibilities over the last 12 games not much has changed other than player only fans spamming the living sht out of this place) hey at least these losses are "fun" and they are finally playing the "right way" even though interestingly enough they all hate Silas! As long as Alpie gets the spotlight these guys are happy - anyone else gets the post game interview or has a fancy highlight and they clutch pearls and get insecure and go into excuse overdrive. Its like you have to preface any dang criticism of Alpie with "I really love the guy please dont get insecure" and then you have all these MFers who have loved the insultathon all year suddenly NOT like it when the shoe hits the other foot.
pure hater if that's what you took from the game last night. As a twenty year old he went at embid a couple times and schooled him. He got dunked on a few times by embid. But the rockets were competitive with him in the game and like -17 without him. When Jalen and Jabari combine to shoot like 9-34 what did you really expect to happen? It's Sengun's fault our two high draft picks can't make a single shot? Jabari is basically wide open all game firing up bricks and sometimes airballs. Prime Lebron couldn't win with this trash team. Good thing we young and they can improve.
