I would take Sengun over Banchero any day of the week, and twice on Sunday. They are practically the same age. The only area where Banchero is ahead is that he gets a lot of favourable calls from the refs (more free throws), whereas Sengun gets hacked all the time, no call, and then he gets called for ticky tack fouls on the other end. Alperen Sengun is the best player of the last two drafts already, and will end up being the best player drafted 2020-2022. (Meanwhile, Anthony Edwards is playing very well, and, on another note (and this is where I disagree with @hakeem94) - Jalen Green at 20/21 years of age produces comparable offensive stats to Anthony Edwards at 19/20 years of age. Edwards then made a significant jump in efficiency and productivity the next year - the team should really try and get Jalen Green to develop on a similar trajectory, if in any way possible. I think Green has lots of potential. maybe Sengun should learn to actually take jump shots, and his field goal attempts would increase it’s hard to get off 15 baby hooks a game no team is dumping it into someone 20 times a game in the post Jokic and Embiid lead the league in post-ups per game at just 9 and 7 respectively, and they both average just 3 shot attempts a game on those post ups…they take and make a lot of jumpers u give it to Sengun anywhere outside of the paint and 99% chance he won’t even look to shoot it
And it's a large reason why the pnr ball handler on this team often gets trapped or doubled because the big roll man is not a threat to shoot from outside.
Then they get mad when green and other take the shots when sengun refuses to take shots outside the paint, dem folks wild enough to join the Mobley stans to wanting to trade green.
To be fair last game specifically there were a couple of possessions where Sengun did establish post position and Green decided to take the off the dribble three. Those are the possessions Green needs to eliminate from his game.
