I hope Jabari doesn't turn out to be one of those players whose stock would have dropped if they played 1 more year in college.
Bol Bol is a worse defender than I thought..I watched a couple of Magic games because I like their young core but the two things that stood out to me were that 1. For all his length, Bol has terrible defensive awareness (like, worse than Jalen’s) and 2. Banchero is legit (but also really inefficient this year) Also I would’ve figured Bol to be a better passer than he showed me
I dunno about “alleged”, Bol is literally from Connecticut..born in Khartoum but spent his whole life in the States and is American by nationality. I still think easily Jabari will be better tho
Bol Bol can play multiple positions since he has guard like abilities I don’t see Jabari playing anything but the 4 and 5. Bol Bol playing point guard and running pick and roll Pull up 3s like Harden
I dont really want to comment on Bol Bol since I haven't watched him enough - but can you explain to me the difference between playing the 3 and 4 in todays NBA and why Jabari can't play the 3?
He’s not the best ball handler usually the 3 is a good ball handler Other than that he has elite athleticism Can Jabari do this?? @RasaqBoi
sheesh. I don’t think many players his size could ever do that , let alone Jabari. Jabari will never have that skill.
This is like predicting every youngster having a picturesque fine trajectory without injuries and personal crisis. Life tells us it's not like that. Scorers like Jalen Green wouldn't average 42 ppg when they are in their prime just because they average 22 ppg now on iffy 3 pt shooting and minutes. In their second year. I don't think Bol Bol is a comparison to Jabari, vastly different guys, Jabari having the luxury of being picked 3rd and guaranteed PT.
Jabari is going to get his shot right later this season or next, put on strength in the offseason, then all this Jabari hate is going to look ridiculous. 19 year old rookies are expected to struggle
No one suggested he is. He's also not 19, and he wasn't available when we picked. Banchero's offensive game came in league ready, that's why he was the first pick. The takes suggesting Jabari is a bust because his shot have been off are just silly and reactive. What were those folks expecting from a 19 year old learning his craft at the highest level in the world. Even with his struggles, he hasn't been bad overall, just his shot has been off.
