Sengun is auctioning one Hakeem, one Sengun, one Green and one Jabari jersey. There is also a meet and greet opportunity with Sengun. https://givebutter.com/c/ZnS9WB From the auction site: Alperen Sengun's Support for Earthquake Relief in Turkey Join me in helping the people in my home country of Turkey. I’m auctioning off game worn jerseys of me and my teammates and a game experience to raise money for earthquake relief. Click "Auction" at the top of the page to bid on each item.
You can also donate any amount. All the money raised goes to a well-respected ngo with a very strong network of local volunteers. as far as the bidding goes, currently Sengun meet and greet: $1100 Sengun jersey: $1251 Hakeem jersey: $1100 Green jersey: $750 Jabari jersey: $550
Let’s see which Rockets player likes him the most. Donations: Justin Holiday - $5,000 Kaminsky - $2,500 Eason - $2,000 Tate - $2,000 Jabari - $2,000 KJ - $1,250 Lionel Hollins - $1,000 Stephen Silas - $1,000
Is that accurate? If so it's sad the new arrivals are beating his season long teammates, specially Tate with the contract he has.
Taking a tragedy and judging ANYONE donating to a public fund me page is a special kind of FK'd up...smh
Holiday never plays with the team, gives up money in a buyout and still donates the most. What a nice guy.
Judging individuals may not be good. But showing solidarity is very important. The earthquake was devastating. I haven’t lost a relative or a person I know(as far as I know) but my friends lost their parents, relatives and everyday we see the tragedy in the aftermath of the earthquake. The emotional toll is very high even for me. Can’t imagine for others. I would expect more solidarity from the team and the organization. I might have missed it but have not seen much.
What do you guys think about folks that want to contribute put funds in the tip jar and have Clutch donate from us collectively? Not sure if I've got the logistics right, but thought it might show our support as a community. Thoughts?
My donation wouldn't be near as powerful (I think) in comparison to a donation from our community. If no one is interested, no worries, just a thought.
Damn, I'd go up to a few hundred for a signed jersey but can't justify a few grand - I know it's for a great cause. Wish it was reward tiers instead of an auction, my favorite NHL team does a Children's Hospital drive like that each year. But I hope it goes for BIG money, Alpi! Also, Sengun's jersey is past $2K while Jalen's and Jabari's is lagging. Is this definitive proof of Who Is Franchise?
I'll never understand why people judge how much money an individual donates based on the amount of money they make. Ultimately, it is making it's way to hopefully a good cause, so any money donated is better than no money at all. Besides, you guys don't know if these individuals give to other charities or donate their time to good causes.
How do you know he hasn't in some other way, to some other organization? I don't, and it's none of my business...they are using one of his jerseys in the auction. The point is, if you're (anyone that is) looking at this to get some perspective on how much of a nice guy, or how much they care about each other, to use as fodder on a fan site...Shame on you, a lot of lives were destroyed in the earthquake...Grow up, real life just happened
