Biden learned the lesson as veep when Palin sprung populist outcry over Death Panels and "Gid riddin of gran gran's meddycare" during that year-long HealthCare Reform debate that miraculously morphed into Dems "jamming bills down our throats that they haven't read!"

Seize the message first or the sleazy opportunists will.

Biden's strength here is keeping the message simple- Republican leaders have proposed cutting Social Security and Medicare. Democrats oppose this.

In doing this he is damaging Republicans, forcing them to respond, and making it impossible to run on Social Security/Medicare "reform". He is laying the groundwork for 2024, where the Republican candidates will either have to vocally abandon any cuts to these programs or get bludgeoned. Refreshing and brilliant messaging from Democrats.

The biggest scam the American people were taught were that somehow right wingers are good for the economy. It's like the biggest effin joke in the world when they havnt a damn thing for the economy.

When was last time a republican president balanced the budget?

When was the last time a republican president didn't pass a trillion dollar tax cut?

When was last time a republican president didn't run a massive deficit?

When was last time a republican president fought back agaisnt corporate consolidation?

But yeah according to right wing trolls @AroundTheWorld people who lean to the left don't know economics lmao. DeSantis the guy you worship used uncle Joe's money to pay his teachers because he had no funding left from the budget in 2020.

They've been proposing gutting those entitlements even while Palin was rousing the pre-Trumpian base to froth and anger. Paul Ryan's "fiscal plans" only worked when it sent the elderly and lower classes into a healthcare ditch.

Dub**** might've went the opposite track with Medicare D, but was so wasteful and corporate tilted that some accused him of trying to accelerate Medicare's demise.

Exactly. Republican plans to gut SS/Medicare are not new. The Democrat's response to those plans is new.

This is actually one thing that's going to really hurt DeSantis (other than his weird personality). He was in Congress for all of this. In fact, he voted yes on one of those stupid Paul Ryan budgets that replaced Medicare with a private insurance voucher, slashed medicaid and SNAP, and repealed the ACA (so DeSantis by extension voted to repeal protections for pre-existing conditions, etc..). I think DeSantis even ran on privatizing social security in 2012. Trump (and the Democrats) can basically pull out the 2012 Obama playbook and just run against all of those stupid Paul Ryan budget items.

The funny thing is biden is doing more for trumps base then trump ever did but they're too partisan. There's more manufacturing jobs right now than at any time in decades.

We're all dumb regarding the economy except Republicans who bring us corporate consolidation and trillion dollar tax cuts.

I told you a week back that any time biden does a big speech his numbers go up. People realize he's fit and he's accomplished a crap ton.

His numbers jumped up by TWENTY points! That's insane

When the argument is Biden is a zombie, it doesn’t take much to show he isn't one. He just needs to appear alive. And if he is coherent, woh, wtf is going on.

Then you get the double down that he must be on some performance enhancement drugs (same thought against Clinton a few years ago when she performed well after talks of her being very sick). This kind of clearly unrealistic attack on Biden's mental state has been politically advantageous to him and will continue to be.

4D chess. Tell long rambling stories, trip up stairs, look lost leaving the podium your opponents start painting you as being a brain dead zombie. Then blindside them with a cogent speech that they look like buffoons heckling and also gets them to commit to your policy goals.

This is what I've said in this thread a million times. Normie and swing voters label trump as an a extremist and radical. That's a TOUGH label to dust off no matter what you do. Once someone views you as extremist it's impossible to shake it off. They'll successfully label RDS one as well once they get the spotlight on him.

People view biden as old and fragile and slow. This isn't that bad because if you're able to go and give a great speech or great debate or whatever then you'll win back those voters quickly.

I'd much rather be in bidens shoes. He just needs to step it up in big moments and he'll be fine.

should have done, not do. there's not much he can do now. Trump was right: he Biden/Obama Iran/Nuke deal was a disaster for its inception.

    perhaps Bibi will save us.

Hahahah the same iran deal that was actually working until Trump pulled the plug and accomplished nothing. Seriously why are you such a sad troll?

Trump was right? What the eff did trump accomplish by pulling out. According to his own words he said the sanctions would stop Iran from ever getting a weapon. Trump stated the sanctions would be the end game.

Sometimes it's difficult to imagine that you're Seriously not an AI program. You're so utterly full of it.
