Kingsbury is overrated. His offense with the Cardinals was average at best. He is a good COLLEGE offensive mind coach, but not NFL ready.

This was not a popular hire. If it were we would be on page 4 at least by now.

Lol, you can go back and read in Demeco thread. I wanted Slowik or another Kubiak/Shanahan disciple. This is a homerun…..if we can get the pieces.

I don't hate the hire but I also dont think it's a homerun. I just wish they would have picked someone with actual OC experience.

That’s fair. I have a good feeling about Slowik, could be completely wrong

I was starting to come around but then I just saw that Bienemy just got him another ring. We're done man.

The only way to get someone with OC experience is if you got someone who was fired as an OC, presumably for not being very good.

We’ll see. I don’t think Bienemy is the answer. See how he does without Mahomes or Reid

Bienemy has as much experience calling plays as Slowik.

There is no problem with uncertainty when you've had bad certainty. It's just possible that studying offenses as defensive coaches gives them some insight to what causes them problems. Innovation comes from thinking outside the box. But copies look pretty good for the first few generations before they lose clarity.

So you can be successful both ways. Both copying the successful and innovating. I'm confident (rightly or wrongly) in the working experience Ryans and Slowik share so Ryans should know more about the man than what's on his resume.

But what do I know? I haven't watched a game since JJ Watt was just getting started. I used to be a sports fan until politics took center stage and the Leagues backed idiots.

This was a big topic of discussion at the SB party I was at.

Obviously the running threat is a HUGE aspect of what Hurts can do and how he can beat you. Mahomes is a fairly mobile guy himself when not playing on one leg and that scramble near the end of the game was big time for the Chiefs. Both of those guys were taking some shots last night from the defense so you need a guy who's built to take a little punishment PLUS break down the defense with his legs for first downs and more. Both of those things combined just makes me want to avoid Young even more and if QB will be the pick hopefully its a guy who can add a running dynamic plus be able to take the big shots that come from that play style.

Exactly! And If I had to chose right now, the safe pick will be CJ. He's shown accuracy and the ability to be mobile. Young has size issues but he has the highest ceiling, Levis scares me because he just hasn't shown what I need to see.
