I know the popular narrative around here is that Silas is the problem ..... but I have to wonder if it's really the players that are the problem - their collective BBIQ is low aside from Sengun, they are all below average.
Silas system has gotten them a very high percentage of open shots .... they miss them,
They also have a high volume of turnovers, particularly when they don't run thru Sengun.
They just do dumb shi!t as a team ....

There's an old saying, you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink.

You can teach (coach) all day long ..... but that doesn't mean the pupil will ever learn.

lol why would you trade Alperen Sengun when he is just the guy you are looking for!?

carrying so much weight around is not good for your mental health!

now when you put it that way i could agree...green has a lot of potential but he is spoiled by no accountability and the longest leash...imho best for him is to get asap at org where he will have good mentor like kerr with GSW or someone like that

under this regime he will imho only rot, or get the super max and ruin this franchise for years, even tho he is a perfect fit to play off of alpi and become a HOF player..he can also learn a ton of bb from alpi...this is why there is simply no substitute for bbiq and brain is your most important basketball asset...

is this really so? do you really think tari has a below average bbiq?
imho he seems like a pretty smart player to me, but i almost dont watch rockets except ocassionally + sengun highlights

Green is worse then nix he is a bust if he didnt picked no2 maybe pick 20-30 he would get like sengun 10 to 15 min and after 1 jear they would send him to the g league with his bbiq, no defense and bad shoot effeciens

You keep quoting ts% and yet he's horrible at 2pt and 3pt fg%...

Luka was picked lower by the way. So maybe Green's draft was just awful...

That's not correct. He wasn't a consensus top pick. You are using hindsight.

Fine, let's not look at Luka...

    Mystery player:
    20 years old
    2nd season in NBA
    44.7 2pt%
    35.2% 3pt%
    15.6 points
    4.8 assists
    3.5 rebounds
    13.8 fga
    28.7 minutes

    Here's Green same age...

    47.4 2pt%
    33.3 3pt%
    21.8 points
    3.6 assists
    4.1 rebounds
    17.9 fga
    34.3 minutes

I would say it's comparable given the additional minutes and shots Green takes...

    Exciting star there...

You would hope that would happen...

But then you ask yourself... why isn't he doing that now?

And that's a big concern of itself.

thats pretty laughable, where did you see anyone have him ranked lower then 1? To me he was #1, by himself, in his own tier and nobody was close

I think Tari is an intelligent person and player. He just needs to practice layups lol.

thanks! ah yes layups...it will come i believe with more PT..hard to be in rhythm with so little PT...btw everybody should practice layups more....even sengun...its the best shot there is and imho results of practicing it are readily more and faster visible unlike for the longer shots....its just that's a bit boring because everybody just assumes he's good enough on layups which cant be further from the truth!

The reality is he was given his starting role and did not have to earn it. Treated like superstar Harden where he was given total free reign outside the gym with no consequences for his play inside the gym. Yes, it would be great if these kids could have a Kobe type work ethic, but only a select few do and the rest need a bit of coaching.

Literally 3 teams passed on him.

Show me a mock draft of him going #1?
