Public school: 23 Baltimore schools with 0 students who can do basic math

At least they know who the alleged slaves and slave masters were. That'll help them in life more than basic arithmetic.

 

I'm pretty sure Florida is worse.

 

All this is due to Democrats and their support for "government" schools instead of Christian schools.

 

In b4 the solution is “end poverty” - I’ll get right on that.

 

The test may be over-tuned based on the graphic on the actual Fox article. Perhaps they are trying to justify more school funding because they kids are behind. But behind whom? The surrounding upper and middle class suburbs with top public schools? Because no amount of funding is going get these kids on average to the surrounding suburbs.

I bet most cities and working class counties would underperform.

 

It is sad though that inner city, black majority Baltimore and black majority PG county look awful compared to even rural western MD. The counties with >20% black populations did worse than counties with less.

These kids were suppose to be in college level courses and desiring to transfer to some fairly prestigious universities. Hell, even non-prestigious universities should have decent standards.

Half the kids in that show could barely read or write. Forget about calculus.

 

I grew up in PG county. The schools outside the loop should be ok but they are pretty bad. The schools closer to the city like in suitland, seat pleasant, capitol heights, oxon hill etc have no chance.
