Even after the injury does not want to teach young guys and Rockets won’t keep him. I’m pissed!! Stone finally got a champ…
he wants to win and play in relevant games/be a part of a relevant team he doesn’t have time to babysit a bunch of young dummies
why would Danny Green want to waste his time? What ties to the Houston Rockets does he have or anyone here for that matter? He's 35, what in the world is he gonna do on team with 19/20 year olds Him being back from injury gives him all the more reason to go somewhere and be part meaningful games while he can
If I were a veteran NBA player and somebody wanted me to play on an AAU team I sure as hell would pass on it, any sane person would.
I'm not talking about the current roster or the stash of draft picks. I'm talking about the culture, and it's a poorly disguised secret that the Rockets' team culture is regarded with disdain around the league. We're not exactly the shining star that attracts superstars and great coaches.
Not really. Think about it, what veteran in their right mind wants to be part of a rebuild .... every single one of them would prefer to be playing for a team with championship aspirations - If they didn't, I'm not so sure they are the type of guys I'd want around the young kids. Those that do find themselves in rebuilding situations just have to understand that they have to be / act as professionals until they can change their situation.
Pretty good actually. I kind of remember being a shoe in for the playoffs every year for a long time. Over under 52-55 wins. Now it’s whether or not you can even win 20 games. Awesome culture
It's a little early for the Rockets to want to pay a player who could actually make them better, anyway.
i agree that our culture is crap... i'd really hoped for a culture overhaul with this 'rebuild' - but doesnt appear to have happened so far... but the CULTURE under Morey was crap as well... c'mon stuff was dictated based on the whims of a narcissist and Morey was his enabler... i mean u can make the argument whether the talent return was worth selling the orgs soul for those years - whatever.... but it was toxic... but we were winning - so folks turn a blind eye... personally, after CP3 got run outta town... it was pretty much a lock we were coddling and catering rather than acting in the best interest of the team... imo at least... lol
