If we’re not goin to compete at least trade for bad contracts in exchange for FRP’s. The Mavs don’t want to pay Bertrand’s. Bertans has no problem sitting on the bench. Trade Gordon to Dallas for Bertans and a future unprotected FRP
I think that was their last FRP. That's why they had to trade one all the way in 2029. But I like the general idea though. Do it for someone else.
NBA Trade Intel: What I’m Hearing on Knicks, Jazz, Nuggets, More Deadline Rumors https://www.actionnetwork.com/nba/nba-trade-intel-knicks-jazz-nuggets-deadline-rumors Magic are interested in VanVleet. Thus far I've heard about the Nets and Magic trying to acquire VanVleet. Why am I not hearing the same rumors about the Rockets? WHY!?...smh Also, this interesting tidbit from the Rockets...but we already knew this.
yep, makes sense. We waited too long; that was obvious. This is a 100% fail on stone. And if he somehow pulls an olidipo at the deadline with a marginal return, it’s still a fail on Stone. Stone has screwed up the EG situation so badly. So so badly.
If he finds any return at all for that contract that doesn't include taking back salary beyond the end of the season, he should be executive of the year.
Crazy, but it works... IF Durant wants out and IF Suns blow it up.... To Suns Durant E Gordon Claxton Lowry To Heat Paul Crowder Future #1 from Houston, possibly 2... To Nets Ayton Herro Shamet 3 #1 picks from Phoenix To Rockets Mikal Bridges We get Bridges for Gordon and 1-2 picks. Those picks going to Miami allow for Herro to be sent to Brooklyn saving Phoenix additional draft capital. Suns look like: Lowry/Booker/Durant/Saric/Claxton With Gordon off the bench... Nets have a core of Herro, Simmons, and Ayton to build around with future picks. Miami giving up Herro hurts, but Paul and Strus in the backcourt is solid and Crowder take PJ Tucker role for them. Depends how they feel about Paul... might not be enough to give up Herro... even with picks... maybe shifting Gordon to Miami and Robinson to Phoenix offsets Paul injury risk... Suns give up Paul, Bridges, Ayton, and picks for Durant, Lowry, and Claxton. Claxton as a rim protector would help them more than Ayton possibly... Not saying perfect... may need to move picks or players around to even out.. Martin is still a possible play to someone as a throw in...
We need leadership. I would welcome back cp3.not worried about health. Jsut looking at this team when they have their compete price and looking so disappointing to watch, I come to the conclusion I would really welcome cp3. He could do for this young squad what he did for OKC that one season and be a real mentor
I think Ayton is worth more than this, but if the Mavs pulls this off, they basically got their big 3 overnight.
[Iko] Clippers and Suns among contenders with serious interest in Eric Gordon, according to multiple league sources. Jae’Sean Tate has also drawn interest from teams, including the Suns, Nuggets, Celtics and Wizards, team and league sources said.
Top free agent targets for Houston: Grant Williams Cam Johnson Josh Hart Gary Trent Jr. Fred Van Vleet I know we’ve got a log jam at the 2-guard and that Stone is not moving on from Jalen, but someone is going to get a very good young 2-way shooting guard in Gary Trent Jr. 5) Sengun/Jabari 4) Jabari/Tari 3) Grant Williams or Cam Johnson 2) Jalen/KPJ/JC 1) FVV/TyTy trade Tate/KJ/Garuba and the Clips pick swap for something significant. as long as our young guys take another step next year, that’s a team that should compete for the play-in. And that’s not counting our draft pick.
Bleacher report (basically a blog) had an interesting hypo... Let's say the Sixers collapse in the playoffs and Harden opts out... Embiid could demand a trade. The Rockets could then offer Sengun, Green, and some draft assets, then sign Harden. That would leave those 2 with Jabari, KPJ, and our pick this year... I think it's garbage because Embiid loves the organization and has talked about coaching there after his career... Even so, I don't know if I do it. Is Embiid enough of an upgrade of Sengun to warrant the picks and cap space? There's an element of projection there. He still needs a lot of improvement defensively.
I highly doubt it. Ishbia is a brand new owner and likely wants to be a contender for the foreseeable time. They probably want to swap Kyrie, Harden, an All Star for CP3 when it comes to that.
