A leading candidate to replace Warhop, who was previously the offensive line coach for the Jacksonville Jaguars, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Cleveland Browns, San Francisco 49ers, Dallas Cowboys, Arizona Cardinals and Rams is Indianapolis Colts offensive line coach Chris Strausser with multiple league sources predicting he will ultimately be hired. Another leading candidate to join the Texans staff is veteran defensive line coach Chris Kiffin with strong mutual interest between him and the AFC South franchise, according to sources. Kiffin, a former 49ers pass rush specialist who overlapped with Ryans in San Francisco on coach Kyle Shanahan’s staff, is the defensive line coach for the Cleveland Browns.
doesn’t make it better that we hire a bad coach. If he’s bad that is. The Wilson article made it sound like he was pretty bad and colts fans are thrilled to see him join the Texans
I wouldn’t listen to any fanbase on coaches.. I trust Demeco and Nick to build their vision on the team he wants.
Mayfield was a mediocre freshman QB for Kingsbury and then transferred out and got coached by Lincoln Riley and became an immediate star his sophomore year.
This is fantastic news. Once we canned that ******* Lovie, get rid of the rest of the trash that he hired on. Love the way things are happening now with this franchise....
Did those piece of **** fans not see what our online coach was doing? This Colts oline coach is an upgrade compared to the garbage we had.
Ok, then maybe you just don't know how to read. I never said he would clash with Demeco. I'm just saying that the philosophy of airing it out every play vs being physical and running the ball typically clashes, because they are on opposite ends of the spectrum. My thoughts on this has NOTHING to do with Kliff as a person, or Demeco as a person. It's just simply based on airing it out (not a lot of time of possession) vs wanting to play physical and own the trenches (pounding the football, and controlling the clock) are opposites.
Yes. From Demeco: We want to play with physicality,” said Ryans, the sixth head coach in Texans history. “We want to establish the run game first, but we want to be balanced. We want to operate with play-action pass. We also want to be efficient. Link to original source: https://www.houstonchronicle.com/te...y,” said Ryans, the, also want to be efficient.
Hard to get a Masters not knowing how to read. You’re insinuating he would clash with Demeco when he has no history of clashing with any other coaches. Make it make sense. Why would he clash with Demeco when he knows this is Demeco’s team?
Yeah it was not long ago that local radio guys were salivating at Colts oline, 'plugging' Jonathan Taylor and not missing a beat. Well one local radio guy whose name rhymes with chance. Speaking of, listening to Western Media on a Saturday, their hosts were talking about Kingsbury like he was already hired by Hannah & co. Praising the Texans and saying how Kliff will develop the next young qb for Houston. Funny how firing Nosferatu, led to the hiring of Demeco which led to every player involved with the Texans from 2006-2015 come out of witness protection, which led to national pundits praise, which led to grabbing your top options for assistants which will lead to signing good free agents. Is this what stability looks like? I'm good with Kinsbury or Slowik. Kinsbury has a lot of 2009 Kyle in him, while Slowik is already where Kyle is right now as in not taking the running game for granted. From Demeco's presser, it sounded like he's aiming for Slowik. Edit Oh wow. Hire announce as I hit submit.
49ers are not trading Lance. They are not putting their eggs in the Purdy basket without a fall back plan.
