Genius move, trade for the 33 year old guard by the time we’re allowed to make the trade, while the rest of the team is still under 23, a 33 year old guard that managed one fluky run to the CF in his entire career.

These posters get lazier and lazier.

lol no...alperen sengun is a REAL SCORER and hence the best one... Sengun can get you points whenever and however he wants!...jalen green is just an empty chucker...he can get you some points on real bad efficiency and shoot you out of games...i know the definition you are referring to, but it's just a very bad definition and jalen green is so bad he actually shows you the absurdity of the definition LOL....and you only get to use it because our cunning coach gives less minutes to sengun ie more opportunities for jalen to be 'the best scorer' lol hes not a scorer hes a black holer lololol

Dame has done amazing things, but I am not that high on him either. Like Green he’s shown complete disdain for playing D.
Which brings me to another point: It was absolutely NOT Terry Scott’s’ fault that Dame had only "one fluky run to the CF". He’d be on my shortlist for next coach.

The thing is, not only would declaring the Green experiment a failure risky in that it's possibly premature, but it would be risky for the GM to do because how would you not fire that guy after that? Why would you trust him to make yet another likely top 5 pick?

I think we ride with Jalen till his rookie deal is up, that's how long he has to prove he's a starting caliber player. I'd prefer it if he was forced to earn his time....but that's just not something the Rockets do with high draft picks.

Most of them have only watched the NBA for a season and a half, it is what it is.

Fair enough - but basically theres no shooting based metrics in which Green looks good, as you'd expect from a guy who's high volume and low percentage.

All the stuff about "most xxx before age 21" is a function of being "most usage before 21" "most FGA" "most touches" etc.

It's just not that remarkable IMO

Have you guys compared SGA stats last year as a 24 year old vs green stats this year as a 20 year old? I encourage everyone to review since most people have been riding SGAs nuts this year.

Yeah compared to the league as a whole there’s no argument, his scoring efficiency has been bad.

I do think there is some merit to the scoring totals and efficiency comparing favorably to some guys who have turned out to be good efficient scorers, but I would also agree that in the future it’s likely that these “records” are more commonly broken with more younger plays jointing the league and getting the free reign to shoot with as much volume as they can on bad teams.

I'm building a team to win, not kindergarten

So what he is young? He can be superstar or out of the league in 3 years. Or force trade to Atlanta. Dame is already superstar now and will be for next couple of seasons

Why y'all so sure this kids are gonna turn superstar? If any of them turns all-star it will be a big deal

I am not saying what you suggest is wrong but
this is exactly the bias and preferential treatment that explains why there is more successful player amongst the top picks than amongst second rounders or late FRPs

BECAUSE THEY GET MORE CHANCES, MORE PLAYING TIME and everybody, from GMs to fans is catering to them and is invested in their success
it has nothing to do with the talent...

    Hey you make yer bed...

This is the downside of 'the process'...

sometimes that coveted draft pick that u sacrifice an entire year for - turns out to be Stromile Swift... lol!

personally, i think he needs more time... still got plenty of that before an extension is an issue... u cant really evaluate during a tank...

Only upside is that once Stone starts dishin that fat free agent money - there's gonna be some accountability for results! ... thats my hope at least... lol... just 26 more games... 26 more games...
