There are maybe 1-2 posters who say that - just like the KPJ stans do it (DD, BobbyTheSmall). Pointing out one but not the other shows your own bias.

ABSOLUTELY CANNOT BELIEVE people now want to get rid of our best player. Is it something in the water in Houston??? FOCUS PEOPLE on the real problem and that is your 100% inept and incapable coaching staff led by clearly the worst coach in NBA history. If Green was coached by Spoelstra or JVG or any competent coach he’d be an all-star!!!

Best player is Sengun, but Green is our best scorer.

There is a 6 ppg gap between Green and Kobe before they turn 21. Their effective ts% is that different were you can't incorporate basic context like not having God damn prime Shaq as a teammate or not having to self create nearly as much as Green with such high usage? You think Kobe's ts% magically scales up like that?

Oh so now there are Sengun fans saying it? That's a quick backtrack from "no Sengun fans say that." And I genuinely wouldn't know what Bobby writes, he's been on ignore since my first week joining tbh.

No, they're all playing in the same era right now, let's compare this season - in which scoring is way up:

    Code:

                                                                                  Play Leag Leag

Is Jalen Green (-97)more like RJ Barrett (-89) in his league adjusted true shooting or Devin Booker (+2)?

Devin Booker given that Green has most of his fgm unassisted and RJ Barrett score most of his pts assisted.

Also this is RJ Barrett's 4th season. Devin Booker's 7th season.

    Why are you being disingenuous?

I'd consider moving him. He's way too inconsistent right now for a good team to rely on as a starter. Will he develop as he matures? Probably. But right now he's legitimately bad on defense and impossibly streaky on offense. I'd consider moving him as a 6th man before giving up on him, but I'd also absolutely consider trading him for the right offer at another position of need too.

With the lack of structure and poor coach development Green is in an impossible situation where he has developed bad playing habits.

Your logic would have traded away Kobe, LaMelo, Booker, Ant etc.

Somebody was arguing about eras - this year is a pretty similar era!

Just eyeballing, looks like only rookie Edwards was worse with -120. Booker's worst was -60 but was positive after that.

Im sure Barrett stinks too but being better than RJ Barrett who's probably a career replacement level player doesn't seem that impressive.

Feel free to look it up but Greens TS add will probably hit negative triple digits.

His 53% ts overall is objectively not good. League average this year is .580.

This stuff's not hard, high volume low efficiency player - that's why you're talking about self creating and blah blah blah

We only say better trade him now get a first rounder pick or w8 and get in 2 jears 3 second rounder. There are many top 3 picks who was a mistake in nba history green seems like a bust after 1,5 jears no improvment no bbiq only chucker no defnse effort like smith

So Jalen who's scored more 30 pt games than his entire draft class combined is a bust, but Jabari who has 21 games of lower than 10 pts this season and another 19 games below 15 pts is good? You know absolutely nothing about basketball, stop watching, you evidently don't understand what you're looking at.

If I get a superstar like Dame for him, I am trading. Too many question marks if he will become a superstar, and if you can get one for him, you do it now. Last night was another sign of his unseriousness and unproffesionalism

TS add is a good stat, but doesn’t always work well for directly comparing players to each other.

It’s a measure of how many more or less points a player scored compared to a league average efficiency player taking the same number of “true shot attempts”

It’s cumulative, so unless you are comparing players with the same/similar number of “true shot attempts” comparing their TS add number isn’t really an apples to apples comparison.

A -97 TS add number on 1000 “true shot attempts” is not the same as a -97 TS add number on 500 “true shot attempts”
