I won’t comment again but I don’t think you realize the extent of the opioid crisis

Wat? What planet are you living on? I would guess 90%+ of Americans are aware of oxy, the drug.

As for the company, the only time I've ever heard of it is the giant billboard at Minute Maid. Anyone I've ever watched an Astros game with is like.....ugh, wtf. Seems like a terrible name for a brand.

I have some very strong opinions about that particular crises but this is not the forum for that discussion. How about them Astros?!

Mother was addicted to legal opioids. Was on doses that would kill a person who had not built up a resistance. Extremely hard bowel movements.

That’s right. I remember all their commercials in the 1990’s. I haven’t seen a commercial of theirs in years, but then again I don’t watch shows targeted to teens anymore. Lol

The Opioid crisis hits all, but nobody cares that record numbers of people are dying from OD's in the last few years because most of the victims are young, white men. So it's a success in their eyes.

I care. Although isn’t it fentanyl doing most of the damage these days?

All but two were in the first 20 years of the live ball era.

One (Babe Ruth) mostly pitched before age 25 in the dead ball era and

    YORDAN THE GREAT.

I think I'm the only one that wishes he wasn't so conservative at the plate. I really think Yordan could put Bonds level hurt on the ball if he was better at recognizing balls he could pulverize.

Ruth Gehrig and Williams lean to greatness.
Klein and Mize mean very little to me which leans away from greatness.

I like him just the way he is including progression as a hitter rather than just a slugger.

His pitch recognition is already elite. Yordan put up a 187 OPS+ last season. Pre-roids Bonds only had 3 seasons that high, so he was putting Bonds level hurt. That's inner circle all time great level production, so yeah expecting him to get even better is a bit much.

The only thing actually stopping Yordan is staying mostly healthy for 650 PA, if he somehow manages to actually get better on top of that he will be the greatest hitter of all time, or at the least since integration.

I guess I'm selfish and want him to put young Pujols numbers and fear in opposing teams.
