Yep. Just put Hakeem94 and Sengoat on ignore and magically the whole myth that the Garm is being taken over by SOF fans becomes obsolete.

Take 15,8 FGA with 41,9 FG% since he is in the NBA u would say it is good? Everyone who takes so many Attempts would get the Points nothing special

The TS% is the most important part of that list, considering the primary knock against JG on the offensive side has been his inefficiency. With the exception of the historically efficient Luka and Kyrie , JG is comparable or ahead of everyone on the list.

it’s as if young scorers are inefficient. Shocking

Especially young scorers who jump right into the league being asked to beat three levels of NBA defenses off the dribble. Guys like Beal had much lower unassisted fgm rate at this age and they still had a much lower efficiency.

You did not acquire him, you drafted him. That is the whole point. Just like you drafted Green. the job is now to maximize their potentials.

    Yeah sure ok.

The fact that 6 of 9 were drafted in the last 5-6 drafts should give you a big hint in terms of how things are trending.

You're basically saying the next 8-10 drafts will only produce 3 such players -

even though scoring has gone up and player ages have gone down even in just the last 4 years?

    I'll take that bet.

Also- worth noting the limit to "guards" - does Green even make the top 10 otherwise when you include Paolo (or Paolo next year, when he gets to 21), Wagner and non guards? Where's Bradeaux the stat crafter when you need him.

Wagner turned 21 rather early in his career.

Paulo is a bungee one overall pick.

I mean I can also post the list where Green is 9th all time in ppg for a 20 year old which includes all positions.

Also that list is total pts. If you go by ppg then there needs to be 7 guys at the level of Ant to get Green displaced in the next decade.

Well not right now I don't trading season is over.......

But, I do approve of trading anyone if it makes our team better this offseason.

And as KPJ is way better than Green - and Green would bring in more - then yep I would look at it, for sure.

I mean…. No one is untouchable.

However…. Making threads based off the last game Green played is just silly. He’s super inconsistent like most of the current roster.

Nah. Green is still young and there will be orgs that think they can unlock him with decent coaching and support. He'll have value for another couple of years if he doesn't improve at all from today. Also, I don't think he belongs in the doghouse yet because he has no expectations set for him. Teach, coach, support and then see what happens.

I want a new and good coach before the end of the season so they can communicate what is expected during the offseason and going into next season.

    Are you responding to me?
That's exactly my point! He has good scoring stats, which can be marketed now.

If a coach who cares about winning comes next year he'll look at team being over 0.500 W/L when Jalen doesn't play and historically bad he does, he'll look at his ON/OFF splits and figure out this is not a prime-time player, he should sit and have reduced role.

From there you have two pathways: 1. either JG learns how to be productive for his team and becomes a good player, even a star, or 2. He doesn't, in which case his trade value is lower than what it is today. That's why I said it is a double-edged risk.

I don't understand what you argue about.

I don't think they should trade him, just make him earn his playing time.

You aren't going to trade away top draft picks so soon, but by not forcing them to earn anything, I think you are setting them up for failure.
