How is this crazy when we have witnessed for 2 year this is how silas operates? he hates sengun for some reason whether racist or nepotistic or just being dumb and rockets fanbase is ok with that... they love it that we always go away from playing through sengun, in fact, because they are too much invested in hating on sengun and the foreigners... they would rather lose and be the joke of the league than win with this foreigner being the dominant and leading force because they were all wrong and were ridiculing him and did all kind of finding the faults with him for 2 years now! this so much reminds me of words of a famous physician who said some people would literally rather die than be proven wrong
The last play the ones that I would blame at fault is Silas for not adjusting properly with big men and the better defenders with 0.7 to go and Nix who looked like the only idiot that switch when the coach explicitly said don't switch which cause that defensive breakdown.
Rockets fans are the worst and the most hilarious, they are drug addicts of tanking, know all the nuances, all the little sophisticated details, bits and pieces of the art of tanking, and the simplest of basketball facts escapes them, that the draft order is arbitrary as hell and getting the higher picks doesn't mean you'll get or develop better players LOL ...slaves to the authority, subscribers to bogus opinions...
It works because a lot of teams are going to chase the players that tanking teams tanked for. It just doesn't necessarily work for all the tanking teams. The league needed certain teams to tank to get that talent settled for a later move to the Lakers, the Heat, the bigger teams.
My mind is still boggled as to why Nix was being used for defensive purposes. It wasn't just the final posession, it was also the posession before that one.

Jalen might be too inconsistent to be a viable starter. You just can’t rely on knowing what you’re going to get from the guy. If you do start him, you have to be willing to sit him down when it’s obvious that he’s having one of his bad nights. Last night was one of the bad nights, but Silas left him out there, even on the most important defensive stop of the game when there was NO reason for him to be there. It’s apparent that they simply aren’t trying to win, they are treating every game as a practice for developmental purposes, and it’s getting old.
When you're 5 of 19 for 11 points in a 2 point loss, it's on you no matter what happened on the last play. Should Silas have taken the worst defensive player in the league out for the last play? Of course, but if not for Jalen’s godawful chucking all game long, it wouldn't have come down to just one play
I liked the way they played last night. Even tho we lost, I saw that they were playing defense almost every position. We need to let Sengun do way more playmaking in the post down the stretch. That’s your bread and butter. We should not make Jalen do a lot of dribbling around the court. Because he will turn the ball over. But great effort on the defensive end last night. Keep it up and you might win some games.

We needed playmaking desperately and sengun is available there to use. Instead Silas refuses to do that, have tate, nix, tari, kmj passing the ball around as if they can create something. And then it is a bad play. Right now our realistic scoring options are Sengun or Green creating for themselves, Sengun creating for the team, Green creating for someone else(much less than Sengun) and hustle play. And we completely ignored Sengun creating for the team option, never got him the ball in the right places. When Sengun gets the ball and gets a double team or beats his man off than there is the opportunity to pass the ball and make players like kmj, tari, tate more useful because they don't have to create something for themselves. I can't stand nix or tate not passing to sengun and trying to look for something else. Again this is 100% on Silas. You can't have Sengun and let tate try to create something.

BHAHAHAH Just finished watching last nights game. Flashbacks of this And I knew that alley was coming. Jalen scored with 0.7 seconds left and there was only 10 minutes left on the league pass stream. Not enough for OT.
