Its time to discuss trading Jalen Green while he's still worth a damn

What makes sht threads like this even more stupider is that green just went and scored 40 pts before this game where he wasn't as hot. a 2nd year scoring 40 pts multiple times isn't something u see everyday especially if u factor in his situation.

Man is doing this without a pg or an actual coach. just imagine what he can do when he has those.

Funny how people like the OP never post this drivel after Green drops 40. At least have some fortitude and be consistent.

 

Inconsistency is the sign of youth. Green, Sengun and to a lesser extent Jabari have all shown signs of being capable of being a top 2-3 guy on a winning team. It is way too early to be giving up on any of our core young guys.

When Green is hot, the dude is ridiculous. Just needs time

The rockets won’t have to try and trade him for him to be involved in discussions this Summer regardless.

I do think the Rockets will be aggressive to make trades for some big names this Summer and those teams if they are seriously contemplating sending out a good to star level player, they are going to demand Jalen, Jabari, or Sengun in that negotiation. Those GM’s will want to say to their fans and owner that they got a young talent in return and that isn’t Nix.

That’s just going to happen unless Stone tells the league he’s off limits which he’d be dumb to do. Right now Stone needs to be having as many conversations as possible and just be open minded. We aren’t good enough to not be.

 

He is not even a late first round pick worth his value is like ben simmons high picked but bad player. Nothing will change in 2 jears he will be the same player no defense zero BBIQ and a chucker. If Rockets get a real coach he get benched or can play in G league

 

If we were in a situation where we fall to 3-4-5 in the draft, I would not hesitate to include Jalen Green with our draft pick to move up into the top 2. I don't think any of the other teams would be all that interested though. I expected to see more out of him by this point.

Charlotte is the interesting one at #2. What do you do with Lamello and Henderson?
I think 3-4-5 + J.Green is compelling, but it can be sweetened further. LAC pick? KMJ? Nets picks?

If Henderson is indeed the whoop-de-doo it is probably worth it. But how do we know? He looks very good on highlights, but Jalen looked amazing, too. So I don’t know.

But CHA at #2 would definitely take Stone’s call to talk it over.
