Personally, I think Silas is doing a brilliant job with Sengun. Absolutely making him null and void as a player by making him stand around the perimeter doing nothing but holding the ball above his head waiting for Jalen to come and get it. 10/10 coaching. Big brains. End sarcasm/throwing up in mouth. Even when Jalen is in the midst of one of his usual worse than a G-Leaguer games, Silas still reduces Sengun to nothing but a bit player. I wish we could fast forward to the timeline where the f*cking organisation realises Sengun is currently, and will always be a better player than Green.
100% and several years ago they started calling it an offensive foul on Harden but apparently nobody else is subject to that particular rule change
bro look at the first action made on the play. Nix man slips a screen under the basket. apparently nix is screaming at Tate to switch. Tate doesn't want to switch but Nix man is coming straight at him WIDE OPEN and Silas told him NOT to switch. Tate's instincs take over and he switches. Nix dofus ass doesn't switch and is still trying to cover his man after he told Tate to switch.. Jim is wide open for a dunk because Silas told Jalen NOT to switch.. Jalen instincts need a little maturing, he should have switched. why did Nix switch when there 1.) wasn't a screen and 2.) Silas told him not to switch? lol
On the replays the refs would do anything to keep their original call. This play, if asked to refs, with no prior call, they would call it no foul. But when there is a foul call on the floor, then they would look for the tiny contact to justify it. In this case, Tate's left arm contacts Butler right before he wraps his arm. And there goes your excuse. The original call gets reverted only if there is literally nothing that supports it.
The fourth quarter especially with Bam having 5 fouls, Sengun should have gotten the ball to go inside frequently or two man game with Green or Tate/Smith/KMJ cutting to the rim if their defender turns their head. Butler got himself to the free throw line down stretch to put Miami in a position to win the game. The bench unit needs better spacing to work to some of the players strengths/potential. TyTy is coming along well and can shoot the floater well. Eason and Garuba need to be in the corners leaving more room for TyTy and JC to get the basket or kick out for a 3 pt shot if the defense collapses leaving the perimeter open. KMJ is a very good cutter and a lob threat so someone else perhaps should have the ball near the free throw line if Sengun is not in the game and KMJ and Eason look to make a backdoor cut. Miami needed a lob or to tip the ball in with 0.7 on the shot clock so the line up for the final play was surprising. I thought Eason was going to be subbed in.
I agree 100% that the refs hate to accept they made a bad call and will do anything not to overturn it but
Tate points to himself at end up play.. if state follows directions then hes with Butler under basket… y’all can hate on Nix when he really **** up but this time he didn’t - that wasn’t on him. KJM 5 turnovers and Sengun / JG 4 turnovers - really what hurt us
You can’t switch on inbound plays. It’s to easy to lose your man incase of a miscommunications on a switch. Stick to you’re man and play man
You're being too kind to the refs. They would have to be blind not to see it. I wonder what that crew made off of this game, outside of their salary. I don't want to, but it's very difficult not to feel that way.
Sometimes I have believed the tank existed , sometimes I have thought it did not exist. As this season trudges onward, it has become clear: Silas is cream of the crop when it comes to tanking. there is no way, not even pops stands a chance against him. The only way pops could out tank him would be to forfeit all his games.
Coaching staff conversation "Ok guys, we played a great game, we COULD take it to OT and have a chance to win? Nah. Screw it. Put in Nix"
Stress has become Tate's guy He needs to be chasing Struss who is well.above the 3line and wide open. Nix gets lost on Bams cut, is late to follpw.Struss, and then misses the switch when Butler and Struss switch positions. Watch the footage and just follow Nix. It is clearly his guy
