How can we still have no plays that includes a couple passes, cuts and off-ball screens? All Silas does is bring a pick to the guard and hope he creates something after using the pick. Of course it turns to hero ball in the end. The ones that are discovered accidentally or by players creativity are not used after some point. What happened to the Green-Sengun game, or Sengun never got the ball in the high-post today, not used as a hub at all, even when we struggle badly to create something. Tyty has something cooking there, I am sure he will face the same thing.
0.7 second left obviously u throw in your best defender or at least tallest dudes. A competent coach would have adjust. We still might lose but that lob was too easy.
Is there a part of this where he talks about what he said to the team about a potential lob play? That's what is crucial here.
People keep saying Silas would be better coaching a veteran team than a young team. A veteran team would have told his ass that we are switching everything and you better have a big near the basket.
Also you've done it all season. Your muscle memory says switch at the end of a hard fought 48 minutes and you get confused.
Nix didn’t lose his man, Nix stopped when Tate switched off Butler which would then mean Jalen would have to switch off Herro onto Butler at Rim with Nix switching to Herro if Tate stays with Butler… then Nix continues to follow Struss outside 3pt line
I don't think Sengun scored any at the second half, likely shot once. What a mistake when Bam and Caleb were in foul trouble.
Bam came back in the 4th and sengun was at the bench for a couple more minutes. This is by itself crazy. We should have attacked Bam as much as possible. And then Bam took his 5th, if I remember correctly by Sengun drawing a foul away from the basket. And still we did not attack him. Another dumbness of Silas complaining Sengun gets into foul trouble while not attacking opposing centers when you have a player like Sengun. Sengun's not shooting or not getting the ball enough is crazy, considering he is the only one in the team that can regularly playmake, draw fouls, and scores efficiently.
Fair enough. I was just pointing out the logic in guarding the inbound pass. Nix is a whole other story.
