Now that's funny. The statue can speak!

A weird deal combination. I remain convinced that Stone should have made the Gordon move at this time last year. Eric was a year younger and had been having a far better season. As @Nook pointed out, and I believe him, Stone could have gotten a first and got greedy. Ended up having Gordon take minutes from our young backcourt, as well as the 3 spot, this season. It didn't have to happen this way and it's Stone's fault, in my opinion.

Gordon was very professional about it all, spinning his wheels the whole time on our rebuilding team and not being an a**hole in response. Very little in the way of being public about it, all things considered. I'll miss seeing Eric waving his arms around, refusing to believe that he'd actually committed a foul every single time. He missed a hell of a lot of games, injured. Maybe because he always played hard, at both ends. We could have done worse than having Mr. Gordon wear our uniform. I wish him well.

Right?! "Hey, sorry about that, you good?"

Instead, the reporter's left collecting his items, thinking, "F***face," as he should.

A shame he and Tim Duncan didn't play together. They could one-up each other in facial expressions: EG with "you didn't call that?" and TD with his wide-eyed "you're calling that on me, I've never committed a foul in my life".

Gordon has not produced at the level to justify getting a first rounder by himself, and I don't understand this apparent desperate need for a shooter. If the Rockets were trying to win a lot more games the rest of this season? Absolutely, but they're not. The idea isn't to win games this season; it's to maximize their cap space for the offseason, craft a better roster this summer and try to win more games next year. Also, why does Martin, specifically, need to be a shooter? As it is, he's been one of the lone bright spots on the team this year; trading him just for the sake of trading him seems pointless.

It;s not that clear, sorry to disappoint you. OKC has first dips on the Clippers pick. Best we can do is #1 and #3 if OKC and LAC get the #2 and #3

One question I have about this pick swap:

Could we use this year’s Brooklyn pick swap on the LA clippers pick instead of the rockets pick? Cause obviously there’s good chance Brooklyn finishes below the clippers

We should have took a shooter, we could have took KENNARD he is a good shooter. We do not have any shooters on the team…none. The worst shooting team….Rockets. Salary Cap? There is no free agent out there. Oh? What about Harden? He never won anything. He can teach them how not to play defense, but he can show them how to tip the best Strippers? It is going to be a bad swap…Clippers are better today than yesterday and they are going to start winning. This is a bad draft this year after 13 to 14 players…the rest of the draft are just G leaguers. Do you really want more 19 years old? With a good shooter we would still not win….he still have Captain Tanking Silas!

Glad to se EG gone to a better team, and for us to open up some minutes for JC, KJ and Tari, and consolidate the rotation.
And LOL at Wall getting traded here after all the sh*t he said. If I was Stone, I would hold an introductory press conference with Wall, call him out and sh*t on him in public and then waive his ass

Why do we need shooters? Shooters would be for next year, nobody is trying to win today and he have Silas on our side and he will not allow us to win no more than 20 games. Martin? He is a nice guy but he is not a starter, not a shooter and not a elite defender. This is his 3rd year…he is what he is. He is going to ask for a new contract and his Daddy will not accept a team deal. He is going to want 15 to 20 millions a year. He should have traded him! I rather have KENNARD than Martin. We need to starting building our team now and Tate and Martin both cannot shoot, are not starters and they are taking time from Christopher and TyTy who are drafted players

It’s a move to clear cap space and combined with the Matthews and Bruno moves, the Rockets will increase their level for this summer to about 64 million since the players they got back are all free agents. It will be interesting to see what Rockets do with this money as this year’s free agent class doesn’t have elite stars as the last couple years.

I'd look out at S&T deals too. This roster with FVV for instance and one of Wemby or Scoot should shoot this team into the playoffs. Not to mention using the other cap space on a 6th man or whatever.

The Rockets could inject 2-3 better players into their rotation next year.
