Problem is he's not good enough to play on a contender and younger teams don't want him taking minutes from developing players.

So that's how these guys get out of the league, just no fit.

The trade sucks when you consider that they had prior offers higher.

It is better than a pair of #2 like what they could have gotten.

There are 4 teams right ahead of the Clippers and there are the NETS that will certainly fall.

There is an element of a crap shoot, but my best guess is we pick around #21-22 in the draft.

Moving up from #29 to to #22 in the draft usually doesn't cost a lot, but it is at least some value back for a player that should have been moved long ago.

Which is better than near 30 and could be costly to move up that high in this draft.

Yeah, it's not a great trade. But I don't actually expect great trades from the Rockets anymore. We're slightly better off than we were yesterday, so I guess we'll just have to settle for that.

It isn't hate, it is about holding onto an asset too long.

The Rockets had better offers on the table in the past and didn't capitalize.

This is like a lot of Rockets moves under Stone...... it isn't the worst, but it is again another lesson in not maximizing assets and lost opportunities.

Clippers have the 2nd hardest schedule for the remaining of the year. With the Lakers getting better, the Clippers might have the hardest schedule for the remainder of the year.

    This is exactly right.

They got to move up some in the draft and Gordon is now gone.

Exactly. It’s silly to discount such a move up. We got two SRPs to move back three spots in a weaker draft.

For the same reasons they have been at their current win paces all season. You keep discounting that the other Western teams are loading up too, and they won't catch the Eastern teams.

They need Kawhi to ball and play literally every game to make the kind of run you are talking about.

Westbrook still has a market due to his friendships with other players and possibly NBA staffers.

His decade long stat padding paid off.

I would give him 1 or 2 years.

He could pose as a small ball big .

It isn't for the same reasons. they started out the season without them in the lineup consistently. They are now and they even have more depth. How they started the season isn't how theyre going to finish it

No. they need Kawhi to win a title. Not move up in the regular season. There's a big different. This historic run you're referring to is nonsense. Acting like the clips are the rockets in games behind other teams is delusional

Are you confirming that there were actually 1sts on the table last year? It's not just Stone propaganda?

We were at the max roster spots.

Who did we waive to take back Wall and Green?

Did not get a draft pick, did not get a shooter(KENNARD)…Gordon is gone and we get NOTHING…we need a shooter. Nobody on out team can shoot

    Not that costly honestly.

Consider that the Rockets moved from 26 to 29 and got a couple bad second rounders.

It's probably worth 3-4 second rounders.

Of course, if the Clippers fall apart, that can change. The pick could be a win for the Rockets if that happens.

What do you want to bet that the Clippers, currently 6th in the West, don't move up higher than 4th?
