Yeah, if you’d scrolled further down from the comment you’re replying to, you would’ve seen someone already said that and I expressed skepticism. Thanks for your insight though
Yeah, this seems virtually impossible. There is absolutely no reason to leave the system they are building in Philly unless its for a HC position. I've seen mentions of Bienemy too - I'm not sure why he'd leave KC for another OC spot either.
I've heard that lateral moves in which they actually improve the new team, boosts the chances of that coach becoming a HC. It's a quicker route, albeit a gamble.
Bienemy is leaving KC almost assuredly and it's because he isn't a playcaller in KC. That's been used against him big. It's established if he gets a chance to leave he will. The Chiefs have already given their blessing and he is a favorite for the Ravens I believe.
Gotcha. Ravens, I can see - he'd have a chance to establish an elite offense with elite an QB on a playoff caliber team. I just don't see it with the Texans. Even if he's successful, it's going to be a multi-year process that's going to have a lot of ups and downs. Then again, the guy with the Lions probably fasttracked himself on the HC route with his performance there, so maybe it could work here too.
Oh I don't see Bienemy here I misunderstood you. Yeah, I don't see this as a hot OC job for a guy who wants to be a HC right now. Steichen is a guy looking to be a HC in the next cycle if he doesn't get the Colts job. Bienemy is desperate to get a HC job. Guys like that don't seem like the type to jump to HOU where it could be a multi-year project before they have good results.
