Same here only reason I would watch, but still, it could of been approached a little differently. Make the Lakers take a foul or a timeout. I get it though.
With the pace and space era and games routinely in the 140's, i wouldn't doubt if they let this continue until LeBron retires and then make some rules changes and no one will be able to touch it because there wont be the benefits for an older player to get close enough, plus of course coming in at 18 right as some rules changes saw dudes putting up career high averages including lebron getting 30 a game early, i think only Luka has a chance, but he has to go ballistic these next few years that Lebrons around before rules changes come and defenders are given more advantages again. Of course if Silver is just content with the scores being routinely in the 140s and climbing, someone is going to pass Lebron in probably much less time. I predict someone soon will average 40ppg. 06 Kobe would be over 40ppg adjusted for pace. Someone far less talented is going to do it imo.
Durant just isn't high enough volume and all the injuries killed any chance. Doubt he would have ever passed Kareem, but i think he could have ended up #3
