Really like Schmitz and believe he could help solidify our IOL for a decade. Mauch seems to be a throw back player and someone I'd love to add if Schmitz isn't available. I'm ready to go Top Gun for this draft, because I feel the need for speeeddd and Achane or Flowers/Downs.

I'd hope to get Wilson later, 5th maybe. I like Cedric Tillman and Jonathan Mingo as 3rd or 4th round targets. Durham is interesting, plan to do some more research on him!

FA1 and D2 ... with the caveat that if DeMeco, his OC and the FO think that there is franchise QB in this draft, that is who gets picked at 1.2

I'm so sick and tired of hearing about Jimmy freaking garrapolo. He's a bad ****ing QB. He's bad. If you put him on the Texans last year, he's every bit as bad as Davis Mills, except there's a 60% chance he only makes it through 5 games. Stop it with the Garrapolo nonsense. He's not a good QB.

If you put any QB on the Texans last year he would be a bad QB.

You don't like winners? Only problem with Jimmy G is health.

His teams win in spite of him, not bc of him. I have no problem with his QB record, but if Kyle Shanahan thought, I need to get rid of this guy, then no I don’t think he should be a target. Kyle Shanahan could make nearly any QV serviceable.

And only issue is his health??? First of all, that’s ludicrous. There are a lot more issues than just health. But if you want to say that, he’s had season ending injuries 3 of the past 5 years! The year before that, he missed the first 10 games. That’s like saying “the only issue with this car is the transmission is broken.”

All I know is regardless of how his teams win a lot more than they lose and that would be a very nice change down on Kirby.

I understand that line of thinking, but adding JG and thinking that it’s going to lead to success is flawed imo. Sure, we probably win more games but we are set up to win more anyway. I can’t imagine relying on that glass statue to be our QB. You wanna start talking Derek Carr, I can be more open to that idea.

Do y’all understand how much it’s going to cost us to get Derek Carr? If y’all did y’all would stay away. Dude is going to cost $35-45M even if he’s released. You want to pay that to a QB that is going to want a long term deal? Because he’s not looking to be here one or two years.

Straight up. The worst thing a rebuilding team with few talents can do is pay for an average bloated veteran QB. It's ridiculous Carr is even mentioned.

Oh 100%. I don’t want him. I’m just saying he’s better than Garroppolo

I mean it is possible that Shanahan was wrong, no? Joe Montana is out there saying Jimmy G is the Niners best option for next year.

his numbers last year were 2,437 yards, 16 tds, 4 ints and a 103 rating….100 passing rating for his career. That’s pretty damn good.

If they don’t like any of the qbs at the top of the draft I’d be perfectly content with Garoppolo, Mills and a later round developmental qb.

This is a better option than Stroud

No it's cool, Jimmy is going to end up on some team and y'all will be talking about how he's actually pretty good and people are just haters until he breaks his leg in week 2 and misses the rest of the season. Then we can commence the argument about how "the only issue is his health"

I don't know but if Purdy can complete simple out routes and throw to the sticks on 3rd down then yes he would have performed better.

Roll another year with the "Neck", if the new coaches cant fix him, draft one of those wunderkind next year. But D with the first pick is my wish.

I don’t think Jimmy G is bad but he isn’t great. He’s middle of the pack for me. It was said that Shanahan didn’t let him air it out. That just sounds like he kept Jimmy G from making dumb plays. 4:1 td:int is not bad when you aren’t considered a top 10 Qb.

Any team that is willing to give him $40M+ is better off trading for him since his contract wouldn’t be guaranteed and they could probably get a pick back as well. $30-$35M is more likely. Still pricey but closer to fair market value IMO.

I remember when Sam Bradford had some promising seasons. It’s too bad he never stayed healthy, like ever. Reminds me of someone just can’t think of who.
