I own one jersey for current Rockets players, number 28, maybe you've heard of him? Feel free to go and search my post history to see how absolutely r****ded you just made yourself look.

Hmm, no, he offers little to no rim protection / deterrence.

He will get blocks just because of how frequently the other teams are in the paint, but he is a big reason why teams are scoring 50 points a quarter against us.

The brain and quickness are there, but the physical limitations are too much.

Buddy I don't give a flying **** about you. You asked why people keep making these threads to defend him and I told you. Because of weird ass dudes like you that don't even watch games or just have no idea how help defense works yet are obsessed with hating on him.

The lack of introspection skills is amazing though here.

Yes the 10 threads spammed at the top every day about Sengun being the franchise player while ******** on every other player on thee roster is a reasonable response to people having valid criticism rather than a rash of virulent Turkish nationals going crazy like the days of Lin or Yao.

Sorry it upsets you so much that a Rockets fan site is excited about their best player lol but I get it you guys are incredibly miserable in life so fun and optimism just isn't for you.

Wouldn't the miserable people be the ones spamming 10 plus threads about how Sengun is better than everyone else as some coping mechanism?

90% of pro Sengun posts are people saying the other players suck lol. Out of all the "player only fans" Sengun fans are the most likely to only care about Sengun and **** on the rest of the Rockets and you know this.

Unfortunately you can't teach speed, hops and quickness.

Wait, so he is the reason we get killed from 3? And he is also guilty of not protecting the rim?

Is he supposed to guard the 3-point line and the rim at the same time?

Literally none of what you posted above is true or backed up by data.

    It purely reflects your bias.

All of which he has. More than Jokic.

Jokic's disadvantage in quickness compared to Sengun more than makes up for it with his strength and length.

From watching Nugget fans it's very clear how easy it is for his teammates to dump him the ball. He takes up significant amounts of space and sheilds defenders away like they are middle schoolers making it very simple for his teammates to give him easy post up opportunities.

The biggest problem with Sengun now is you have these 1 second spurts of where he gets position for an entry pass and looses it quickly. Not concerning at all because he's 20 and eventually will establish position more consistently.

But you have to acknowledge the massive length and strength advantage Jokic has. Dude takes up so much space in the paint. He's like an impossible target to miss.

Other good defensive 3-man lineup combinations:

    Gordon-Sengun-Eason 104.1
    Gordon-Matthews-Eason 102.1
    Gordon-Martin-Eason 105.9

Is the common denominator of these lineups Sengun, or someone else? I mean really what it says to me are that Green and Smith Jr are giant negatives (in fairness, they are going against starters a lot of the time and just getting roasted)

Good question, I looked at net rating for 3-man combinations of more than 100 minutes played together.

    upload_2023-2-7_11-44-50.png

The common denominator in the top 5 combinations is Sengun. The common denominator in the next three 3-man combinations without Sengun is Eason.

KMJ also shows up in 4 of the top 8 3-man lineups.

    This matches the eye test:

    Best player: Sengun
    Second best player: Eason
    Third best player: KMJ

Best combination: All three of them on the court together.

    You are welcome.

Your basketball analysis is very simple minded. The best three man rotations based on net rating on a team with very poor net rating means the three best three man rotations that provide the best net rating is more than likely spot minutes or spot situations where the opposing team is playing their bench unit.

Play that three man unit as the fulcrum of a offensive system and see how hard they fall even more. Only Sengun is a self creator here. How are you going to generate any level of consistent offense? These high net ratings might work in spot minutes against opposing team benches but to say these are your three best players just because of the "three best 3 man rotations" differentials is silly.

I'm sorry but Eric Gordon, Green and KPJ are more important to this team than Eason an KMJ who's offense is very limited to having teammates playmaker for them.

When you look at 2-player combinations and their net rating, these are the top 3 (minimum 300 minutes):

    Same message.

@Ankara1923 - I believe you are the other "Alpi and Tari Only Fan" (these are also my two favourite players).

Looks like we are onto something.
