DFS and Dinwiddie probably makes them better in the short term. Kyrie is gonna be perplexed when he finds out the DAL owner is Jewish and not cuban.
These Nets picks are looking JUICY. Their team is going to completely implode on themselves when Durant leaves and they are left with their new cornerstone -- BEN SIMMONS. He will be the Erwin Rommel of tank commanders.
Kyrie Irving trade winners and losers: Kevin Durant left alone; Luka Doncic gets co-star, but at what cost? Winner: Kyrie Irving Loser: Kevin Durant Winner: Luka Doncic Loser: Dallas Mavericks Winner: Brooklyn Nets Winner: Houston Rockets Loser: Ben Simmons https://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/...ne-luka-doncic-gets-co-star-but-at-what-cost/
I called this when James Hardly Trying packed up his quitter ass out of Htown. That was a wack trio from the start.
lol speaking as if rockets know how to manage picks...they ruining mayority, if not all of their picks they had in last 2 years as we speak...just lol fans are clueless no wonder theres no accountability for the managers
nothing to be happy about. our team already imploded, several juicy picks didn't bring anything to the table. let's build competitive team that isn't worst in history first then worry about others and picks
I wouldn't call it a win if you don't know how to manage assets and can't even trade Gordon when the time was right.
I hope you are kidding or haven’t been paying attention to the season Kyrie is having. This obviously makes bkn worse.
Not necessarily- if you up Durant’s usage, Dinwiddie is a reasonably effective off ball guy AND pick up an extra defender on a team who hasn’t been very good defensively - this team can be better in the short term. I think you are right that they are less of a threat for a title, but I would say Brooklyn raised its floor this year at the expense of its ceiling…however if Durant’s injury lingers that obviously changes EVERYTHING because Dinwiddie isn’t necessarily a ‘keep the team afloat’ guy like Kyrie. …the other problem is it puts even more usage on an aging and increasingly injured superstar so it’s not sustainable- but yeah, I would say they can get more consistency and regular season wins this year without Kyrie. You forget Kyrie is going to be injured and miss a few more games this year, maybe he sits out a handful of games in protest to some random cause. The guy is a walking disruption but his talent gave them a much higher ceiling when he played and was engaged but you can't really count on that - especially in the regular season.
They have zero shot at a championship now which is why kd will be the next one to ask out, that’s the real conclusion here.
Agreed. I think that people trying to equate them as being an better or same team are crazy. They got worse for sure. KD wont be there next year.
Funny how it was expected from Doncic in the west with Dinwiddie and DFS, but with Durant its automatic zero chances. Luka>Durant it seems
How so? He tried to not be there this year and guess who blinked. Kyrie was gone regardless. Now instead of him they have things to sell. Don't discount the Nets moving draft assets, role players and maybe even Simmons deal to get back the mix next year. Their position just got more flexible - that's not good if you're banking on them imploding
