You need defense to win in the playoffs. The Mavs do not have good defense. We all like to think that great offense will always beat great defense, and that may be true in the regular season, but time and time again it's been proven wrong in the playoffs. This Mavs team does not really have many good defenders. They better be active to get some good defenders back in the fold.

    lol, Lakers weren’t serious

I also saw that they didn’t want to include the likes of Austin Reaves or this 2nd round scrub who is averaging like 4 ppg…I don’t even remember his name

I hope this is the start to an exciting trade finale.

Is cp3 who never has enough oomph left for playoffs and is old as hell, really better than Dinwiddie at this point as a shot creator?

Kyrie was set to start for the East in the ASG. Does he just automatically take Curry's place now, since Curry is out past the break?

Maybe Harden might actually get in, over on the East's side.

    here’s my problem.

Finney-Smith and Dinwiddie are mid, I get it, but they eat minutes. Currently #2 and #3 in mpg behind Luka.

Kyrie is brilliant, but let’s just say his availability is… subpar.

What’s your lineup when Kyrie takes his annual "3-week self-discovery sabbatical" ?

Very fair point, but Brooklyn could have cut bait after this season (if he looked washed) or after next season otherwise.
CP3 is clearly a better distributor, but he's slowed down this year as a scoring threat, on Brooklyn - that has shooters.
I agree that at this point Dinwiddie is probably a better shot creator.

CP3 probably helps ticket sales more than Dinwiddie, and might buy time until a (younger) free agent point guard is available.
CP3 might have convinced Durant not to flee immediately, but I doubt that is the case now.

He is on a tight leash. Lot's of money riding on whether he performs. Cuban is not totally dumb, Parsons notwithstanding. He wants a chance at a championship paying a pick for a rental a la Toronto and Kawhi.

CP3 is a big tight ass whereas KD is laid back and needs space to operate - I assume he left a cushie job at GSW because Draymond Green was too much in his face.

The Luka implosion countdown has begun... What else does Kyrie have in his bag of destruction?

    Unbelievable how the Nets imploded!
This will continue to happen as long as Teams cave into their payers demands -

Houston is the real winner from this trade!

We went from WCF to being worst team in the league for three years straight with no perspective of being competetive. How did we win any trade past 4 years?
