We may draft a QB, but not at 2. I predict we draft back to 5,20 and 3rd this year plus a 3rd next year. We draft BPA at 5. If Richardson or Levis is available at 12 we take them. If either are available a few positions up the draft we trade up. I hope we stay put at 2 and get Carter. If Chicago takes Carter, then the above scenario works out fine. Let’s say: Chi: Carter Seattle: Young Cardinals: Anderson Colts: Stroud or Levis Who do the Texans take at 5?
Sorry been off CF for a day due to a family emergency but weird take. No idea, TBH. But the assumption is if someone is close to Hurts they are close to a Super Bowl?
That would be awesome in my opinion. Ideal off-season: Best FA Center Wilson - no. 5 pick Richardson QB - no. 12 pick Jalen Hyatt WR - no. 20 pick Darnell Washington TE no. 33 pick Emanuel Moseley CB FA Ward FS FA Tunsil OT resigned. Coach fixed OL fixed Defense fixed Receiving core fixed QB of future. Competing for AFC South 2023/2024 fixed
I’m not high on AR15 like some are. I’m a Stroud guy. I’d rather trade back to 4 and get him. I think he’s better regardless of how much he’s shitted on here. The other picks are fine. Love Hyatt but we’ll also need a WR1. Maybe Harrison next year? ED: Tyree Wilson, Lukas Van Ness, Felix Anuskiewicz-Uzomah or Isaiah Foskey LB: Drew Sanders, Jack Campbell or Noah Sewell Or CB: Joey Porter Jr, Kelee Ringo (falling) or Emmanuel Forbes
I’m not super high on Bryce or Stroud, but what do I know. Generally, I’m a build through the trenches and defense kind of guy. I think this year is a good year to trade down. We would have an incredible number of picks this year and next and it is also the perfect time to load up on youngish FA’s. That way we can compete quickly without screwing up our future. After all that, maybe Bryce or less likely Stroud are superstars and I’m an idiot.
Understandable. I’m not knocking you for wanting defense but I think there’s quite a few pass rushers in this draft and I think Jalen Carter could go 1. I haven’t seen enough of AR but there’s reason. I don’t like how inefficient he is. 54% is horrible. I’d like to know what you see in him. Being athletic isn’t everything. I’m looking at his numbers and he has two games with 300+ yards passing. Albeit they are 400+ yard games but his completion percentage was less than 60%. One game was 54%. He had four games where he threw for less than 150 yards. He just seems like one of those guys where everyone keeps saying give him time but never amounts to anything. I’m not saying I know everything and I’m not going to say someone straight up sucks.
Hard pass. 30 year old washed up WR who wants to be overpaid He trashed the Texans so much and to go do what exactly in Arizona… I called it way back that he wouldn’t accomplish anything g in Arizona and would end up getting released or traded
This one is for you R5R... https://firstroundmock.com/2023/01/c-j-stroud-reminds-former-nfl-scout-of-warren-moon/ BTW, love LVN, FAU, Foskey, Sanders and Campbell. A little worried that Wilson is tough stiff and hasn't developed his PR moves to go as high as folks are projecting.
Texans are not trading back. There is no need. They have plenty of picks. There is such of thing as too many picks in a draft.
If DeMeco and the Texans do not see a franchise QB at 1.2 (or 1.1 ftm), trading back would be great if they can make that deal.
No, it's a very simple question who would you compare Hurts skillset too? It's a weird take to ask for your opinion?
If there was a true franchise QB in this draft rather than I hope the draft pick turns into a top 10 QB. If a QB cant become a top five QB and I dont think there's a QB in this draft that can become a top five QB so Ryans should pass on drafting a QB at 1-2. Although if they draft a QB at 1-2 they will win more games. But winning more games shouldn't be the goal. Winning championships should be the goal.
