If we like him, we'll have to grab him at 12. He's moving up quickly.

Need to make sure Nick & Cap see this video!
"Makes note on draft board......NO Paris Johnson or Peter Skoronski before 5th rd!" lol

    Imagine a world where

    1-2 QB (Your pick)
    1-12 Hyatt
    2-32 Musgrave
    3-64 Achane
    Rd. 5 R. Johnson
Rd. 5 after trading up OLuwatimi
    FA Center Bradbury

QB of your choice, plus Mills
    RB Pierce/Achane/Ogi/Roschaun Johnson
    WR's Hyatt/Metchie/Collins/Rodgers/Moore/Achane
    TE's Musgrave/Quitoriano/Akins/Jordan
    OT's Tunsil/Howard/Heck
    OG Green/Cann
    C Bradbury/Oluwatimi

Great play makers all over the place and a solid OL for the new QB to work with.

    Sign me up.

Your great hope for next year is that the Texans win most games 42-40?

Can’t imagine a world where they spend their first four picks on offense.

Every one of poster picks was an offensive player

Well the Texans have a lot more picks than he listed so assuming he was doing an offensive player mock. In any case, don’t think they would spend all of their premium picks on offense.

All I ask from here on out is that if Nick has 2 prospects rated close to each other with similar talent, take the one without the injury history.

Agree on Gibbs. He reminded me of Kamara and is the best back in this draft imo.
Hyatt - don't want that guy. He's Chris Sanders or Alvin Harper. Run straight down the field and chuck it up to him is the only route he knows.

Gibbs better than Bijan? I don’t think so

If you are speaking about running the ball, I think Bijan is better but I do think Gibbs is a better overall back with his ability to be a receiving threat out of the backfield. Just depends on what you are looking for.

Ran a simulation to see how many 2023 1st round and high 2nd round picks I could accumulate.
    5 Will Levis QB
    10 Paris Johnson T
    18 Bijan Robinson HB
    20 Jordan Addison WR
    31 Trenton Simpson LB
    37 Luke Musgrave TE
    65 Tuli Tuipulotu EDG
    73 Deonte Banks CB
    104 Devon Achane HB

How would we use both Robinson and Achane? Could we use Achane in the slot?

I haven't kept up with Football since Watt's 3rd year.

I'm a big Longhorn fan. I never got it with Bijan, but I guess we will see.

I've got a higher opinion of Hyatt than most of the draft pundits.

Hyatt has world class speed, really good hands and is a good route runner. He's got the wiggle. Put Hyatt's world class speed with Achane's world class speed and Musgrave running a 4.5 at 255 lbs, those are true weapons that this team has never had. The ability to score anytime they touch the ball at all positions from anywhere on the field is something this franchise hasn't had since the AJ, Foster, OD days and even then these weapons are more dangerous. IMHO This gives the new QB his best chance to succeed.

    Me either,

But they should if they want to do everything possible to give the new QB his best chance to succeed. No more Ogi/Burkhead running the ball, or Moore as WR1. Who was the best TE last yr.

Draft a bunch of skill position guys and let them grow with the new QB. Also gotta fix the center position and draft one IOL late in the draft for depth purposes. No more Quessenberry/McCray seeing significant playing time.

Use the rest of FA money to build out the defense.

Fix the offense with young guys, particularly if you draft a young QB. I'm guessing you saw that the Texans had the worst set of skill position players and center in the NFL last year.

Fix the defense as well as you can in FA. This is a good yr for FA DT's/LB's in FA. You wont be able to fix everything in one offseason but this would be a good start. Adding play makers.
