If Dallas is a suitor now, they'll still be a suitor for a sign and trade in the off season. Any team that wants Kyrie is desperate and they probably still will be desperate in 5 months. Nets can have their playoff push then get that same deal then. It's not like he's coming to us or San Antonio for nothing.
Man the key to all this is if Jalen Green takes that step into a lethal scorer.. Wems or Scoot + Sengun+ Green + whatever 4th star we trade for those BK picks .... My Gawd!!!!
Kyrie is asking for 200mil over 4 years without any stipulations. No way, cheap ass Tilman paying him that and we definitely don't want that cancer here. We can build Kyrie a statue outside TC though if KD follows this summer after Kyrie gets traded. I hope he goes to the Lakers because those picks aren't going to affect us since they're much later down the line and WB with Simmons will only be a bigger shitshow. Plus, we definitely don't want NO to get any better with Laker's lottery pick.
Westbrook to the Nets is a dream scenario. I would LOVE to watch he and Ben Simmons bricking away until Durant demands a trade (and after).
I wonder if the Nets would just pull the plug on this season and deal both of them? How far could they fall? It would at least give us the vaguest improvement in our lotto chances.
For how long I don't know, but Pop will still be there by the next off-season. Am I being unrealistic about Pops luring skills? Probably. But he is the main reason why I mentioned SAS as a better destination than us... Who would want to be coached by the worst coach ever? (Although I do believe we will hire a veteran coach this off-season). Silas job as tank general will end this season for sure.
What kind of issues? Low attendances? If that's the case, take a look at our arena right now. But I agree as a terrible city and fanbase. It is just a matter of how unnatractive are look right now.
The dude literally doesn’t play half of every season every year if even that… and it’s not even injuries half the time. So no the craziness doesn’t come down on game day. He’s the most unreliable NBA personality the game has maybe ever seen. I also can’t think of a personality that would be harder to root for. The dude is an open antisemite. I’ve found a way to love CP3 and to tolerate Westbrook… but asking fans to root for such a horrible person is a bridge too far.
No, they have tried to win at different point and times. Jalen Green, KPJ and Smith have just been bad when it comes to doing things that help you win games. That is poor player development, poor coaching and a complete lack of accountability. Teams can tank and lose while still teaching young players how to play hard and smart and hold them accountable. It’s just harder to do.
You aren’t excited about the leadership and ACCOUNTABILITY that having Kyrie and Porter leading your team brings? You aren’t excited about having a defensive backcourt of Kyrie and Green?
