I'm not sure if the contents in the diary had been altered in anyway, but it appears the court believes this is Ashley's diary? Whatever Project Veritas was trying to further authenticate is beside the point if the feds are stating this is her diary. I may be interpreting wrong here, but that's what I got out of the story.

That's way better than expected. Maybe we will see a soft landing after all.

Soft landing ? We're not even seeing a soft landing. This is a booming economy and the deranged headlines scare mongering folks is pathetic.

Do people realize there's more manufacturing jobs today then ever before in history? The economy is booming in every metric. Media is brainwashing folks for recession bs. We're seeing hundreds of thousands of manufacturering jobs while tech suffers. We're REAL TIME growing our physical economy. No bs digital economy.

We're back to building **** and making America great again.

It's insane how so many folks are utterly delusional about the economy. We've had strong GDP growth back to back quarters and 3% inflation over the last 6 months while having lowest unemployment in modern history.

What are you guys smoking that thinks a recession is coming or here.

During Trumps "booming" economy we were hardly adding 200k jobs a month. We just added 500k jobs in a environment where rates are at 4.5% . This is the strongest economy we've ever seen

    Yup.

Not only should this cause a re-think of the current envrionment, where folks who projected that the Phillips Curve is an iron law (and that you need mass uneployment for years to deflate) are now angry that people are not being thrown out of work en masse, but basically the entire neo-liberal economic approach that arose in the 70's, parasiting on to that era's infation issues, has been nothing but massive L's for the last 50 years and its entire history, basically. Look no further than the UK for an example of how to destroy your country.

Let's be clear, the cynics about the right have been right again and again and again for years on end now.

What's more spectacular is biden is doing EXACTLY what trumpers begged trump to do. Biden is breaking up big tech and he's destroying tech jobs. There's been over 300k less tech jobs while over a million new manufacturing jobs that all pay over 15 dollars an hour. We have more manufacturing jobs coming onshore than at any time in history.

@basso have you ever read a jobs report from BLS and not from foxnews or whatever other garbage.

Don't forget the guy running the bls IS A TRUMPER!!! biden has the same person from the trump administration! If biden was 20 years younger and was able to pitch his accomplishments more he would be a top 10 president easily. They're soooo bad at messaging

At this point, it's hard to figure out who @basso and his fellow republicans hate more, BLS or BLM

Also, I got to tell you one of the most heartening under-the-radar stories of the last few years is the newly-active-after-being-asleep-for-40-years FTC and the Antitrust Division at DOJ.

While the GOPsters are focused on things like Chinese Balloons, gas stove bans, and Don't Say Gay laws - Lina Khan is doing great work (not just big tech but taking on concentration in lots of industries) and they aren't noticing.

Usually when good policy is happening in Washington, the GOP's default move is to try to stop it as much as possible.

I do not know about that. MSM says we are in the worst recession ever and Google / Amazon / FaceBook laid off the entire country. We will be lucky to not be living like cavemen by tomorrow.

I work in rural America and khan is tackling the most pressing issue facing rural America which is lack of access to Healthcare. Independent pharmacies are closing left and right because PBMs are pushing mail in orders and colluding with big insurers.

Lina khan is first ever to tackle this and she filed suit against the PPBMs. The independent pharmacy organization which hands over 10k pharmacies are worshipping her like a goddess cuz she's fighting back against corporate greed.

People have no idea how much work the ftc is doing. They're literally changing the fabrics of American capitalism. Mergers are down by 70% in certain aspects and she's balancing the economy.

The only reason why I support biden is his ftc is finally doing God's work.

Big tech has lost close to 500k jobs while we've added close to a million new manufacturing jobs. With another million or so green new jobs coming over the next year biden is doing what trumpers always dreamed of.

Destroying tech and building up Americans industrial base.

She's the energy secretary now LOL she needs to give this speech at the dnc convention. She said this at Obama re elect

Remember that we got an extremely strong Q4'21 GDP (7%) followed by two negative Q of GDP (~1% each) and some people were calling it a "technical" recession while others (me included) said not too fast - how can you call it a recession with low employment and job growth. Maybe it's all BS(?) but CEOs from banking, financial, and tech sectors are saying a slowdown in 1H'23 with growth again toward the end of '23.

So not too fast. I think we can put to bed the "stagflation" fears, but a slowdown without a recession (soft landing) with lower inflation (hitting the 2% fed target) is a great thing and is looking more promising than the fear of a recession (which you can't yet rule out). The market reaction is negative to this great report (LOL) because it signals to the fed that they might have to take bigger hikes.

This strong report isn't just in the number but that there is broad growth throughout the economy (manufacturing is a small part of it) and good wage growth.

ps. The job loss due to the announced cut in tech is not here yet - that will factor in throughout 2023.

    Employment Situation Summary - 2023 M01 Results (bls.gov)
Job growth was widespread in January, led by gains in leisure and hospitality, professional and business services, and health care. Employment also increased in government, partially reflecting the return of workers from a strike.

Leisure and hospitality added 128,000 jobs in January compared with an average of 89,000
jobs per month in 2022. Over the month, food services and drinking places added 99,000
jobs, while employment continued to trend up in accommodation (+15,000). Employment in
leisure and hospitality remains below its pre-pandemic February 2020 level by 495,000,
    or 2.9 percent.

In January, employment in professional and business services rose by 82,000, led by gains
in professional, scientific, and technical services (+41,000). Job growth in professional
and business services averaged 63,000 per month in 2022.

Government employment increased by 74,000 in January. Employment in state government
education increased by 35,000, reflecting the return of university workers after a
    strike.

Health care added 58,000 jobs in January. Job growth occurred in ambulatory health care
services (+30,000), nursing and residential care facilities (+17,000), and hospitals
(+11,000). In 2022, health care added an average of 47,000 jobs per month.

In January, transportation and warehousing added 23,000 jobs, the same as the industry's
average monthly gain in 2022. Over the month, employment in support activities for
    transportation increased by 7,000.

Employment in social assistance increased by 21,000 in January, little different from
the 2022 average gain of 19,000 per month.

Manufacturing employment continued to trend up in January (+19,000). In 2022,
manufacturing added an average of 33,000 jobs per month.

Employment showed little change over the month in other major industries, including
    mining, quarrying, and oil and gas extraction; wholesale trade; information;
    financial activities; and other services.

In January, average hourly earnings for all employees on private nonfarm payrolls rose
by 10 cents, or 0.3 percent, to $33.03. Over the past 12 months, average hourly

Regulators should just set the rules and don't worry about the prices. If you believe in the power of markets (which I do), competition will not allow them to take more profits than necessary to abide by the rules.
