(ESPN975) Rumor: Kyrie Irving to Houston?

To be fair, we are already a trail of destruction!! Could be the worst team in the NBA for 3 years running. How much worse could it get?

There's only one former disgruntled Net I'd take, he comes with less bonkers theories and much more impressive facial hair...

 

Judging by the fact that he is easily influenced by various talking "gurus" out there on the interwebs, he'll forever be reminded and spiteful of the nets for calling him out on his conspiracy loving ways.

Don't know which team out there will want to deal with it. Maybe Lakers for a single season. But Nets are not trading Kyrie for 2nd rounder.

Clippers are probably doing what they can to get him to pair with pg13/kawhi. It's not like the clips aren't all in already. Their window is like 1 or 2 years at most

 

Durant will demand a trade as soon as Westbrook comes.

He’s already demanded a trade. If the Nets aren’t going to extend Kyrie, they were going to have to revisit a Durant trade this offseason, anyway.

I'd do it if I were them, trade for him and it instantly makes them a contender if they don't give up too much of their depth. If they do win or even go to the finals, trade him in the offseason.

yea, it's either blow it up now or hope for the 17-1 December magic to return with KD back in fold. Straight up Kyrie for Westbrook is giving up on the season.

The Nets are basically a contending team once Durant comes back. For the Nets FO, and ownership Kyrie's short term rental services are a greater asset to the org than whatever draft assets they get in return.

If I'm Sean Marks I shake Kyrie's hand and say you are under contract the rest of the season, and post season. Give us your all these next 4 months and I'll personally help you pack in July.
