He just did what should be normal - treating everyone the same, regardless of the color of their skin or their sexual orientation. What is not normal, but woke, is to treat every white person as a racist, by default, and to teach white children that they must feel guilty.

It could be, depending on how far someone takes it. On the opposite end, being asleep is like someone closing their eyes to the reality around them. They are too fearful to see and prefer to stay in the bliss of ignorance.
