These guys are putting little to no effort into their All Star reserve selection process. It's sad. Ended up costing Tatum millions in contract incentives not so long ago.
that’s sad making no All-NBA after averaging 29, 6, and 7 back in 2016, losing MVP to Westbrook, and now this…Harden snubbed yet again it never even crossed my mind that Derozan could be an All-Star this year…Jrue and Haliburton at least have the “winning” argument, and Haliburton’s numbers are pretty good Bulls been a joke all year
Dude i feel so bad for Hardens historical optics. In 10-20 years kids are gonna just miss out on how special he was because of all his snubs. Not only that, Harden never b****es and complains to the media either. Just grins and bears it. Laces up and goes out their to play to his best. Harden doeant deserve to be remembered like a "Dantley" type who was amazing but not an absolute all-timer. Harden is a bonafide all time talent man. Sad.
and to top it off the league won’t let him win a ring. As much as I try I still can’t get game 6 and game 7 of the wcf out of my head. Do you know how revered harden would have been if he took down curry, Durant, dray and klay by himself without cp3. The league wasn’t having tho and put a stop to it
This all-star snub is kind of shocking since it is the NBA coaches who select the reserves compared to media people and journalists who vote for All-NBA and MVP. Before you can blame the MVP and all nba snubs on the nba media being bias against Harden or not knowing basketball well enough since a lot of them never played or coached basketball professionally. But NBA coaches know basketball better than anyone and they can't vote for players on their own team as all star reserves.
coaches, players, fans, media all don't like his game. but here we have guys who never picked a ball saying he is better than Kobe ps. don't pull out the stats i don't care about them
but he's not playing the same way as before, his usage rate is like 23% this year and he is averaging only 6 free throws a game
Harden east guard all star voting ranks this year Player vote : 5th Media vote : 5th Fan vote : 4th “players, media, fans don’t like his game…..” Voted top 5 guard in the east by those 3 groups so…. My opinion he should have made it over some guys who got picked(derozan and holiday) by the coaches but there’s no reality where the above statement is true. He’s having a great season but has missed a good chunk of games and was a borderline miss.
he still plays standing straight, not running off-ball, and not defending unless stationary-plays in the post where he can just use strength. people just don't respect playing lazy-streetball in the NBA
Guy who's leading the league in assists, scoring 20 ppg on good efficiency, one of the elite teams in the league, it's a slam dunk case but obviously Harden has an abnormally high share of haters so it's just going to happen. IMO the Kyrie protest fan/player vote is the most damning thing about the all star selectoins. I know players and fans (and probably alt right trolls) want to "stick it to the Man" - with the man being, in many instances, the space laser controlling type of man - but, folks, this is not the ******* way to do it, no matter what you have convinced yourself about double standards. There's way more deserving victims here than Kyrie. Also, the NBA's dumb positional requirements always create more problems here than they solve, as usual.
Why do you like talking out of your butt man? Literally just look below you , you do not know what you are talking about.
But not all star worthy. Lol when skip bayless of all people comes on national television and backs hardens case over demare, holiday and Halliburton you know it was a screw job
AD did miss a lot of games, a couple more than Harden. And also the fact that the Lakers stink. So the coaches probably didn't feel like the Lakers deserved two all star spots with Lebron already in.
jaren jackson has played 35 games compared to hardens 34. AD played 29. The coaches got it wrong lets just be honest about it
