And you ignore the previous year for both Young and Stroud, both of which are Better than Maye.

    2021 season.
    Stroud: 4435 yards, 71.9%comp...44 TDs, 6 INT.
    Young: 4872 yards, 47 TD, 7 INTs....66.9 comp.%
I don't care about rush stats...because most QBs are not going to run a huge amount in NFL.

Both of those seasons are better than Maye's.

Maye LOST his last 4 games this year. Most of his numbers were put against Weaker competition.

3 of his last 4 games were HORRIBLE. He Lost to GEORGIA TECH and looked horrible doing it.

It is not point in arguing with you. You will die on the Levis and now Maye hills.
Get used to Young or Stroud being the Texans' QB.

Not ignoring anything, I’m comparing this season. It’s apples to apples comparison.
Your weird infatuation with success in college gets questioned because you’re denying Maye’s success.

Levis isn’t a hill I’m going to die on, he’s a better prospect than Stroud but I don’t want him.

Maye is a better prospect than any QB in this draft.

Huh? Hurts is in the Super Bowl. And he runs all the time.

Hurts is another. Most QBs in the NFL do not do design run plays. Scrambling is not designed runs.

Totally disagree as league is changing. Most of QBs in the playoffs have some sort of design run.

Dak, Josh Allen, Mahomes, Hurts, Lamar, heck even Lawrence and burrow run.

Except for Lamar and Hurts, those QBs won’t have more than 2 designed runs per game.

Josh Fields, Deshaun Watson, Lamar Jackson, Malik Willis (yeah, that one is because he simply can't pass)

Josh? Pretty sure we traded him for Yordan lol

Allen also has multiple designed runs

Again, 4 (1/2) QBs out of 32 starters. The point is the majority of QB in the NFL do not make designed runs part of their main skillset.

Designed runs aren’t a long term success indicator. But mobility and off platform/off script ability with great arm angles is important.
Young, Levis and Richardson have that

Murray, who is tiny like Young, was picked 1st, not 9th.

Maye is awesome, but you’re comparing his only season to this years numbers for Young, a season which wasn’t as good as his first and one in which he missed time due to injury. Young was still awesome.

Last year Young threw 47 touchdowns to 7 interceptions. He played one more game than Maye did this year, but he did it against way better competition (with better teammates of course). I don't know how you can say that Maye had better production when comparing those 2 years. This year Young played 2 less games, and it was really almost 3 less games factoring in the injury, and he threw 5 less touchdowns than Maye... At worst, the production is pretty damn similar this year when comparing head to head.

Both of CJ Strouds seasons were better statistically than Maye was this year, and in both cases, he did it in less games.

I'm not sure how you can say Maye's production is better than either Stroud or Young. It's not that far off though, and of course Maye can run which adds to his overall output. Maye is legit, just not sure what you are talking about if just comparing numbers.

Also, I would point out that Maye struggled significantly when facing better defenses towards the end of the season.

Maye had better numbers than Young this season.
He has arguably better than Stroud as well, when factoring in rushing production.
That’s not mentioning that he is literally their offense, he lead the team in rushing too.
And, Stroud has elite talent across the board.

Also, they didn’t play a tough schedule. Big 10 is a top heavy conference.

And they had a common opponent in Notre Dame. Maye far outperformed him.

Maye played 2 more games than Stroud and had 3 less touchdown passes, 4 more total.

Young played basically 3 less games and threw 5 less touchdowns, this year. Last year he was clearly more productive.

We could play common opponent or those type of games all day. Clemson, the only top 25 scoring defense that Maye played all year, completely shut him down. He excelled against a lot of bad defenses. Meanwhile Young is playing all of his games in the SEC, specifically the SEC west.

Like I said, I love Maye as a prospect, but that's not what we are talking about here.

On another note, every single year people say "oh next year's QB class is wayyyyyyy better" and then we get to see another season of the prospects and people starting seeing some of the flaws. Then round and round we go again, "next year is better". It's going to happen with Maye and Williams too. It happens pretty much every single season. It's nauseating.

Stroud played one less game than Maye. 13-14.
But Maye also had 7 TDs rushing along with 700 yds.
Yardage Maye has them both beat by quite a bit.

It may be nauseating, but Williams and Maye are better prospects than Stroud and Young. They don’t have the question marks and they hit all the requisite physical marks.

And next year around this time prospect a and prospect b will be “far better” prospects than Maye and Williams. And round and round we go.
