And there’s not a single scout that agrees with that.

The scouts evaluating Gabbert who thought he was going to be good, or that he had a Josh Allen type, NFL elite arm should have lost their jobs. There is a lot more wrong with his game than simply being a head case or not studying enough.

Okay I can find some common ground here.

There is a big difference between what you see with pads on and with a t shirt.

He could zing a few here and there between some "tight windows" and when he wasn't hitting position coaches with errant throws, he could throw sideline to sideline fine enough, but his deep ball was wretched, and practically, as you say, he could have thrown it 100 miles in a t shirt, but he wasn't showcasing anything during actual games.

    Nope

Which QB in this draft has even close to Hurts skills? Do they leg press 600 lbs.

Levis is the closest to Hurts in this draft. Are you advocating for drafting Levis?

They won in spite of Bortles.

Wow - that’s one very, very, very long straw.

Q - Who will win a Super Bowl from next years draft? Since you’re talking in full truths.

You missed the point, Lawrence looked worse than Mills until Pederson got him some weapons to work with.

He's not as good as many make him out to be.

    He's not top 10.

If healthy I would take Purdy ove Lawrence, even though Lawrence has more god given ability.

    We would have to see.

I'm not advocating for Mills to be the starting QB next yr, although if he was it wouldn't bother me at all. Because it would set the Texans up to get their QB in 2024.

I'm rooting for the hometown guy in this years SB.

Nobody out of Young, Levis, Stroud.

I think any of the 3 in the 2024 I listed can win the SB.

Trevor just got stability in that organization. Purdy isn’t close to Trevor in no shape or form. Purdy played with some elite players on both sides of the ball. Deebo, Mccaffery, Kittles and the number one defense in the NFL. Plus you had baby Shanny calling plays on offense and Demeco running the show on defense. Purdy had a great run but the table was set for him to be successful.

Very true. To be fair though, Lawrence is still really inconsistent and I am not particularly sold on him yet.

Yes. He is not a top 10 pick, yet. He could be by the end of this upcoming season. He is not a good as Stroud right now. However, after another season. He could be competing with Maye and the #2 QB in the draft in 2024. He is better than Maye as a college football right now.

The problem is you may not have a top 5 pick next season and Williams and Maye will go Top 5. If your boy McCarthy has another great season, he could go top 5 ot so. Then what? You are chasing a QB like the Colts have been for that last few years. No, you take Young or Stroud and build from there.

Yes, Young and Stroud had 2 of the best Careers in College football history.

    Bortles had very good numbers.
    Gabbert is Levis, stat-wise. Average.

In this scenario you accumulate picks. If the Texans drop down I'd say its to do just that for next season. The QB class next year is at least 4 deep and each year a team who thinks they are set at the position finds themselves in a down season and would be willing to negotiate. 3 first round picks PLUS some more would perk up plenty of GMs I would say.
