The man has a legit role on a good and well-defined team. Rotational NBAer.

Morey does the same. But he managed to get Harden in the Simmons trade without losing Maxey (with help from Harden forcing the Nets hand).

And Martin is the guy who benefits the most from Sengun's playmaking.

Personally I'd prefer to hold on to him.

All the Sengunatics should not only want to keep KJ, but also have him start with Al-P… it seems basic but his BBIQ on offense with cutting and timing is the best fit alongside Sengun. Tari is getting better but EG is a waste of minutes.

I would rather add Tate to an EG package but I’m afraid Stone is gonna stone.

He's the only one actually cut

A young player who has barely played two seasons and started for the worst team in the league 2 years in a row. Sounds exactly like a veteran to me! I couldn't think of a better "vet" to mentor our young guys.

I was about to write it in my post just above yours. In the part of low effort on defense, I think KMJ allows to be beaten so he can try the highlight block from behind. Crazy but possible for a kid who wants to show up

He's 27 on his 3rd season and 2nd contract in the National Basketball Association. You don't have to be gray-haired Nene to be called a veteran but as far as someone you want teaching young men how to work hard and be good men https://www.theringer.com/nba/2021/4/22/22393568/jaesean-tate-houston-rockets maybe you could do a little reading about the Houston Rockets.

Or maybe you could keep up spoon deep takes.

The irony of calling Tate a vet and wanting to ship out KJ is in the fact that they've both played the same number of seasons. Just one more season than Jalen Green and Sengun. Typically you want to surround young talent with players who know what it takes to win in the league. Again, Tate was a starter on the worst team in the league for 2 years. There is only so much a guy like that can offer by way of experience. I'm sure he's a good locker room guy but lets not hype his off the court metrics when he's accomplished close to nothing in the NBA

Pray tell, what has Kenyon Martin Jr. accomplished?

Tate's made All-Rookie and Rising Star teams.

    Martin?

    Dunk contest

    I like them both.

I find KMJ more entertaining to watch, and he is our best cutter. Tate seems a good guy and is the better passer/ball handler.

Tate made those because he was an older rookie. Tate's rookie season was when he was 3 years older than KJ Martin is right now, lol.

I'm aware but that wasn't the statement Spoonie made. Kenyon Martin has objectively accomplished less in the NBA than Tate has even with the "irony" of time in the NBA.

    ...and defender, rebounder, playmaker, leader...

All-Dunk Contest team lol I guess that's enough. Y'all don't think Martin wants 15 million a year but he does. He hasn't develop a handle, a better 3 ball or a heart on defense but hey, he sure does dunk the ball.

    It works both ways.
Sengun needs someone to cut for his assists but KMJ would not be shining if there was not a passer like Alp. Think about KMJ next to Wood/Markkanen type of not assisting bigs. Useless then.

Just redeem KMJ for a couple of late firsts now...Sell into this. He's not the longterm guy at the 3. Undersized, can't handle the ball, crappy footwork on both sides, and a bad attitude. It's nice that he's improved his shot a bit, and can crash the boards in the right matchups...occasionally with throw down follow ups. But, we're not the ones who should pay him.

Does anyone know the stat: The percentage of Sengun assists within total assists KJM received?

I am a KJM keeper but would like to know how he performs with and without Alp?
