    Bookmarked.

Wouldn’t have an issue if you didn’t speak about the future as if it already happened, or “I don’t think neither…”

HUH? Jags had the #1 overall pick and took Trevor.

Yeah, I'm confused by this, too. It seems to be going pretty well since they won the division and a playoff game in his 2nd year, while he made some pretty significant progress.

I think that the OP was referring to how Blake Bortholes worked out.

Bortles and Glabbert were reaches. They are no where near young and stroud.

So you knew Jalen Hurts was a SB qb?

The right QB will. Drafting the wrong one sets you back years. I don't think the right QB is in this draft. Just look back on Mario Williams, everyone wanted Vince Young and Matt Lienhart. But the Texans drafted the right player.

Slowik isn't exactly an exciting candidate to me. He does have Shanahan connections though, so that's nice I guess.

His dad is former NFL Defensive Coordinator for several teams and he was a defensive assistant when Cowboys won a SBowl. Doesn't have a ton of experience despite 10 years in the NFL and played WR in college. Only 35 years old, would like someone with some more experience, but perhaps he's ready to take the leap to OC. Good luck kid!

A franchise QB, more so than any other position, is littered with picks all throughout the seven rounds. It’s much more of a gamble than any other position. I think most of us who are against drafting a QB overall is because the risk factor (on paper) is much greater with this position than it is on one of the defenders. In this draft.

We’re not sold that Young, or Stroud or Levis are worth the number two overall pick in this draft. Hell we’re not even sure there’s a clear number one QB prospect in this draft. That too is all over the place. Would prefer to fill this position later in the draft with a value pick. Your just as likely to hit there as you are at the top of the draft.

Not really. The vast majority of starters come from the 1st round. Granted, they're not all "franchise" QB's, but more QBs come out of the first round than the other 6 rounds combined. And it makes sense. QB is the most coveted position. Teams are going to reach and reach early. The QB carcass is going to be picked pretty clean by the time the 3rd round rolls along. Every once in a while someone falls through the cracks but it's going to be somebody who no one expected would be a good starter.

Let's look at some starters from this season.
1st Round: Mahomes, Hebert, Burrow, Allen, Goff, Lawrence, Rodgers, Tagovioloa, Daniel Jones, Mac Jones, Ryan, Tannehill, Pickett, Murray, Jackson, Stafford, Zach Wilson, Watson

    2nd Round: Hurts, Smith, Carr

    3rd Round: Russell Wilson, Mills

    4th Round: Cousins, Prescott

    6th Round: Brady

    7th Round: Purdy

So you’re looking at 2/3 taken in the first and 1/3 outside round 1. Of your starters taken in round 1, how many were one or two overall? How many of these QBs would you still draft one or two overall? I’m still not sold that Young or Stroud or Levi’s are worth the number two overall pick, in THIS draft. They are each a reach in my opinion at that spot. Who’s still on the board at 12? Who’s on the board with your top pick next year?

    Mahomes / 10th, Hebert / 6th, Burrow / 1st, Allen / 7th, Goff / 1st, Lawrence / 1st, Rodgers / 24th, Tagovioloa / 5th, Daniel Jones / 6th, Mac Jones / 15th, Ryan / 3rd, Tannehill / 8th, Pickett / 20th, Murray / 9th, Jackson / 32nd, Stafford / 1st, Zach Wilson / 2nd, Watson / 12th
