Bryce Young doesn't look creative to me. It looks like the Alabama system made him look good. I could be wrong though.
No need for the Texans to trade up. Unless they are THAT convinced that Stroud or Young is going to be THAT guy. Otherwise, just stay at #2 and let the board come to you. You either wind up with a potential franchise QB or you end up with an elite defensive talent in Carter/Anderson.
Not sure about spending a 2nd/3rd rounder on a RB. Roschon in the 5th or later would be a great pick though.
Or if you get a QB thirsty team that wants to jump a few slots trade down and still get your stud defender if defense is where the Texans are prepared to go. On the flip side of the "you cant bank on being bad enough to draft better QBs next year" argument there seems to always be a 'bad' team in a down year who has their QB and is willing to wheel and deal. This team could prepare a package to move up and get their guy even if they have a year where they arent picking in the top 5 again if they can accumulate enough picks.
I would rather he was bigger and stronger ideally, but I would not keep that from drafting him if I felt he was the best QB. The game is different, quarterbacks are not hit like they used to be. Having said that, I find Stroud to be slightly more impressive. If the best evaluators prefer Young, then I will defer to them because I don't see a huge difference. Having said that, I don't see anyone in this draft that plays QB and pops off the screen as great like Lawrence, Luck, Mahomes, Herbert or Rivers did to me.
