There is nothing wrong with your logic at this stage of the process. However, I'm just not impressed with any of these 3 at #2 to pass on the two defense studs in this draft. If one of them slips down a ways and we move from #12 to that spot, then I like the value much better.
Prove he is? Kyler is a 4.4 guy with a cannon. Bryce is a 4.7/4.8 guy with a good arm. Intentionally ignorant
https://www.ncsasports.org/football...-angeles/cathedral-high-school16/bryce-young4 From Bryce himself, 4.8 in highschool. Realistically athletes can gain a couple tenths if they work specifically on speed. If he’s working on bulk, I doubt he’s a 4.5 guy. Mid 4.6 at best with good cone drills and average burst.
If Caserio traded down he would have three 2024 1sts to use in trade and I don't think any team would have that much draft capital to work with.
I like Williams, Maye, McCarthy more than any QB in this class. It is a very deep 2024 QB class though.
McCarthy outplayed Stroud when they played against each other this year. McCarthy is very mobile with a better arm than Stroud.
And they added Kirk, Engram, Etienne, Jones to the skill position groups. Plus they have Ridley on the way. This could've had something to do with Lawrence improvement.
No, you don’t know football. You know hype and that’s it. You talk about winning being important and in the same breath say Penix is a first rounder starter in the league but Bo Nix isn’t? Hmm, kinda suspect. Bo wins and is an upper tier athlete.
2023 is a down year for QB, the gap between Bryce Young and other QBs is minimal, if any, and there are some game changing defensive prospects in this year's draft. Build the fortress of talent with our picks and add some playmakers to this team (desperate need). Let our youth mature - Mills, Pearce, Petri, Stingley, Harris, Metchie. Pick up a veteran QB in free agency if necessary. But don't waste a top shelf #1 draft pick on a lesser talent at QB -- especially one that is too small to succeed at the NFL level. That's just an unforced error if that happens.
